Scale adaptive tracking using mean shift and efficient feature matching
The mean shift tracker has achieved great success\ud in visual object tracking due to its efficiency being nonparametric. However, it is still difficult for the tracker to handle scale changes of the object.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Monocular Vision SLAM Based on Probabilistic Motion Statistics Feature Matching [PDF]
In the current monocular vision Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM) process, the feature matching phase is time-consuming,and mismatches tend to occur,so the robot often has a slow initialization speed and low positioning accuracy. To address these

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Feature matching using guidance‐constraint method
Image distortions and repetitive patterns widely exist in real images, which results in that feature matching is still a challenging problem though great progress has been made recently.
