The electric dipole moment of the nucleon from simulations at imaginary vacuum angle theta

open access: yes, 2008
We compute the electric dipole moment of proton and neutron from lattice QCD simulations with N_f=2 flavors of dynamical quarks at imaginary vacuum angle theta. The calculation proceeds via the CP odd form factor F_3.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Fault Diagnosis of Bearings with Small Sample Size Using Improved Capsule Network and Siamese Neural Network

open access: yesSensors
This paper addresses the challenges of low accuracy and long transfer learning time in small-sample bearing fault diagnosis, which are often caused by limited samples, high noise levels, and poor feature extraction.

Mapping the Decoupling : Transfer Efficiency of the Single Farm Payment Scheme [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper focuses on the question of the transfer efficiency of the SFP scheme and represents graphically the results of an analytical framework with the seminal Surplus Transformation Curve initiated by Josling (1974) and developed by Gardner (1983 ...

Therapeutic strategies for MMAE‐resistant bladder cancer through DPP4 inhibition

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We established monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE)‐resistant bladder cancer (BC) cell lines by exposure to progressively increasing concentrations of MMAE in vitro. RNA sequencing showed DPP4 expression was increased in MMAE‐resistant BC cells. Both si‐DPP4 and the DPP4 inhibitor sitagliptin suppressed the viability of MMAE‐resistant BC cells.

An Underwater Target Recognition Method Based on Feature Fusion and Balanced Ensemble Transfer Learning

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering
In underwater target recognition scenarios, challenges arise as a result of the limited representational capability of acoustic images with single time-frequency features and poor recognition performance due to class imbalances in sample numbers.

Infrared laser sampling of low volumes combined with shotgun lipidomics reveals lipid markers in palatine tonsil carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

Recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming and confer resistance to targeted therapies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that the majority of the 18 analyzed recurrent cancer‐associated ERBB4 mutations are transforming. The most potent mutations are activating, co‐operate with other ERBB receptors, and are sensitive to pan‐ERBB inhibitors. Activating ERBB4 mutations also promote therapy resistance in EGFR‐mutant lung cancer.

Features of podolannya transfer to ZSU

open access: yesScientific Journal of National Pedagogical Dragomanov University Series 15 Scientific and pedagogical problems of physical culture (physical culture and sports)
Overcoming obstacles is a key element of training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially in the context of the full-scale war initiated by Russia against Ukraine in 2022. The aim of this study is a theoretical analysis of the features of physical training for Ukrainian military personnel to overcome various natural and artificial obstacles in ...
