USP30‐Mediated Deubiquitination of PEX5 Suppresses Pexophagy to Drive Tubular Injury in Diabetic Kidney Disease

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
USP30 accumulation in diabetic renal tubular epithelial cells deubiquitinates PEX5, suppresses pexophagy, and drives dysfunctional peroxisome accumulation and tubular injury. USP30 depletion restores PEX5 ubiquitination and pexophagy, improves peroxisomal function, and alleviates tubular damage, highlighting USP30 as a therapeutic target in diabetic ...

Electronic Chip‐Mimetic Medical Implants for Controllable Sonothermal Treatments

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by the thermal effect of working electronic chips, which consist of various heterostructures, an sonothermal‐responsive platform has been developed through constructing metal‐semiconductor interface on implants. Biofilm infection and deep vein thrombosis can be successfully treated by controllable ultrasound treatments.

Topology‐Enabled Finite‐Band Absorption Framework Based on a Bioinspired Nested Dual‐Loop Architecture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A nuclear‐pore‐inspired nested dual‐loop architecture redistributes electromagnetic energy through coupled transport, confinement, and dissipation pathways. Integrated with Co/Fe3O4 dual‐magnetic composites and topology optimization, the 11‐mm‐thick absorber delivers continuous 2–40 GHz attenuation, raises finite‐band structural utilization to 82%, and

The Drafting of a Law against Discrimination on the Grounds of Racial or Ethnic Origin in Germany - Constraints in Constitutional and European Community Law [PDF]

open access: yesJournal on Ethnopolitics and Minority Issues in Europe, 2002
On 29 June 2000 the European Council adopted the Race Equality Directive, which outlaws, inter alia, direct and indirect discrimination based on racial or ethnic origin regarding access to employment and supply of goods and services, which are available ...

On German Unity

open access: yesScientia Militaria, 2012
On 3 October 1990 the division of Germany into two states came to an end. The German Democratic Republic (GDR) acceded to the Federal Republic of Germany and in doing so ceased to exist. This epoch-making event took place peacefully and in agreement with

Photobiomodulation‑Engineered Extracellular Vesicles Enhance Neural Differentiation via UFL1‑Mediated UFMylation in Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photobiomodulated microglia release engineered extracellular vesicles that deliver UFL1 to the injured spinal cord. UFL1 competitively binds p53 with MDM2, inhibiting p53 ubiquitination and stabilizing p53 signaling. This dual mechanism simultaneously promotes anti‐inflammatory microglial polarization and directs neural stem cell differentiation toward

Financial aspects of solving socio-demographic problems of household development: the German experience

open access: yesЕкономіка, управління та адміністрування
The most important thing in any research, including the analysis of socio-demographic problems, is the professional view of the scientist. It is necessary to analyze the current socio-demographic situation and the trendency of its development to generate

Investigations of the Evolved Molecular Basis for Terpenoid Biosynthesis in Marine Sponges

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Confirming and extending a previous observation in another Bubarida sponge, genomic and functional analyses of A. cavernosa reveal that sponges retain the mevalonate pathway and employ single α‐domain T1TSs and UbiA‐type TSs for terpenoid biosynthesis. The absence of T1TSs clustering with other biosynthetic genes tentatively suggests, based on limited ...

Electrochemical and Thermal Interplay in Blended Cathodes for All Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work analyzes blended LFP‐NMC cathodes for all solid state batteries, revealing their balanced rate performance and enhanced thermal properties. Operando X‐ray diffraction studies uncovered lithiation gradients and asymmetric charging effects due to kinetic limitations.

Sprachliche Entfremdung als Phänomen des Umbruchs in der früheren DDR

open access: yesLiterator, 1997
Linguistic alienation as phenomenon of the transformation in the erstwhile DDR The Federal Republic of Germany and the German Democratic Republic have not yet grown into a coherent unity since the political unification of the two 'Germanies' in 1990. The
