A Large Scale Multi‐Modal Workflow for Battery Characterization: From Concept to Implementation

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Isolated characterization techniques produce independent datasets and single‐property insights. However, progressively more holistic interpretations of battery‐material behavior is needed in the future. Here we demonstrate a coordinated multimodal workflow enabling the correlation of heterogeneous datasets and the construction of multidimensional ...

Allium sativum, a Natural and Pharmaco‐Remedial Panacea for Entero‐Gastritis, Antibiocidal/Dysbiogenesis, and Systemic Health Relevance

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
Natural Pharmaco‐remedial impacts of Allium sativum on Systemic health. ABSTRACT Arising from the emergence of diverse difficult‐to‐treat health cases, alterative‐therapeutic strategies have become a potential way forward for management/control. In traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), various plant materials have been sourced as alterative‐therapeutic ...

Video and Text‐Based Supplemental Health Information and Consumer Willingness to Pay for Nutrient‐Enhanced Eggs

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Nutritional information is very important in the food choices of consumers. However, when they are too scientific or technical, they have the potential to confuse consumers, resulting in information asymmetry and dissuading them from making beneficial choices.

Development and experimental validation of a predictive resilient framework for cyber‐physical systems

open access: yesAIChE Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Cyber‐physical process systems integrate process dynamics, control, sensing, actuation, and communication, making them vulnerable to attacks that falsify data, alter control actions, or disrupt networks and drive operations toward unsafe states.

Dynamic Modeling of miRNA-mediated Feed-Forward Loops

Journal of Computational Biology, 2012
Given the important role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in genome-wide regulation of gene expression, increasing interest is devoted to mixed transcriptional and post-transcriptional regulatory networks analyzing the combinatorial effect of transcription factors (TFs) and miRNAs on target genes.

Multiple Functions of a Feed-Forward-Loop Gene Circuit

Journal of Molecular Biology, 2005
The feed-forward-loop (FFL), a network motif in genetic regulatory networks, involves two transcription factors (TFs): one regulates the expression of the second, and both TFs regulate the expression of an effector gene. Analysis of FFL design principles has been initiated, but the functional significance of the FFL is still unclear.

The IL-6 feed-forward loop: A driver of tumorigenesis

Seminars in Immunology, 2014
IL-6 signaling plays a prominent role in tumorigenesis and metastasis. In this review we discuss the recent evidence describing the tumor intrinsic and extrinsic functions of this signaling pathway. Although blockade of this pathway in pre-clinical models leads to a reduction in tumor growth and metastasis, its clinical success is less evident.
