The Use of Live, Frozen and Pottasium Permanganate Treated Moina micrura for Catfish (Clarias macrocephalus) Larvae [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
Live, frozen and pottasium permanganate (KMnO4) treated Moina micrura were fed to catfish (Clarias macrocephalus) larvae for 20 days. The aim of KMnO4 treatment prior to feeding was to minimise the level of microorganisms present in them.

Corrosion and Process Analysis of a Preoxidized MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode in Laboratory‐Scale Na‐Cryolite Molten Salt Electrolysis of Aluminum at 1000°C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
EDX elemental map of the pre‐oxidized MgO–steel cermet anode cross section after electrolysis. The development of inert anodes for aluminum electrolysis remains challenging due to the high corrosivity of cryolite‐based melts at 950°C–1000°C. This study investigates the corrosion and process behavior of a carbon‐free MgO–steel cermet anode derived from ...

Potentials of castor seed meal (Ricinus communis L.) as feed ingredient for Oreochromis niloticus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The potentials of castor seed (Ricinus communis) meal as feed ingredient for Oreochromis niloticus was determined by using boiled seeds to prepare five diets which were fed to the fish species.

Interaction of MgO Recyclate‐Based Cermet Anode With KF‐AlF3‐Al2O3 at 800°C During Laboratory Scale Aluminum Molten Salt Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A carbon‐free, as‐sintered MgO–steel cermet anode, fabricated via cold isostatic pressing using MgO–C refractory recyclate, was evaluated under laboratory‐scale K‐cryolite electrolysis at 800°C. Operation at this reduced temperature, combined with the electrolyte's limited electrical conductivity, led to an increase in cell voltage.

The effects of a blend of coriander oil, eugenol, geranyl acetate, and geraniol on bull fattening and carcass quality

open access: yesItalian Journal of Animal Science
A blend of essential oils (eugenol, geranyl acetate, coriander oil, and geraniol) has been earlier shown to improve dairy cow productivity by means of reduced methanogenesis.

Production of hydrogen by unmixed steam reforming of methane [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Unmixed steam reforming is an alternative method of catalytic steam reforming that uses separate air and fuel–steam feeds, producing a reformate high in H2 content using a single reactor and a variety of fuels. It claims insensitivity to carbon formation

A Knowledge‐Based Approach for Understanding and Managing Additive Manufacturing Data

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing processes generate a large amount of data. Effectively managing, understanding, and retrieving information from this data remains a major challenge. Therefore, we propose an ontology‐based approach to integrate heterogeneous data, enable semantic queries, and support decision‐making.
