Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Survival and response of Oreochromis niloticus to different feeds [PDF]
The study determined the survival and the response of Oreochromis niloticus to different feeding compositions. 90 Oreochromis niloticus juveniles were fed different diets in triplicated treatments inside glass tanks.

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Potentials of castor seed meal (Ricinus communis L.) as feed ingredient for Oreochromis niloticus [PDF]
The potentials of castor seed (Ricinus communis) meal as feed ingredient for Oreochromis niloticus was determined by using boiled seeds to prepare five diets which were fed to the fish species.

What Do Large Language Models Know About Materials?
If large language models (LLMs) are to be used inside the material discovery and engineering process, they must be benchmarked for the accurateness of intrinsic material knowledge. The current work introduces 1) a reasoning process through the processing–structure–property–performance chain and 2) a tool for benchmarking knowledge of LLMs concerning ...

Growth performance of Heteroclarias fed maggot meal at varying inclusion levels [PDF]
70-day growth trial was conducted with Heteroclarias: Heterobranchus bidorsalis X Clarias gariepinus (mean weight 0.64~c0.006g) fed diets based on various inclusion levels of Maggot Meal. The fishmeal in the control diet was replaced with maggot meals at

The high cost of commercial fish feed and the limited availability of highly nutritious, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly feed ingredients pose challenges in producing high-quality tilapia fingerlings (Oreochromis niloticus). The efficiency of nutrient absorption in fish digestion and growth performance is generally evaluated through the ...

This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Inclusion of mussel meal in diets to growing/finishing pigs [PDF]
This study showed that inclusion of mussel meal in diets to growing/finishing pigs yielded growth rate similar to those obtained with a conventional diet, whereas feed conversion ratio was higher.
