Innovative Processing of Compacted Waste Aluminum Alloy Powders via Controlled Remelting and Solidification

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates an efficient recycling route for out‐of‐spec AlSi10Mg atomized powders through compaction and arc remelting followed by suction casting. By correlating compaction load, cooling rate, and resulting microstructure, we show that intermediate pressures (50–80 kN) and rapid cooling refine dendrites, reduce porosity, and enhance ...

Feeding Ensiled Citrus Pulp to Finishing Pigs

open access: yesEDIS, 2012
For the past six years, feed costs have continually increased, and Florida has greater feed costs than the rest of the country because grain must be shipped here from where it was produced. But the Florida pork producers generally get prices above market

A Compact Spin‐Coated Graphene UWB Antenna for Breast Tumor Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, spin‐coated graphene ultra‐wideband patch antenna designed for breast tumor detection, capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign tumors. This innovative antenna can serve as an effective initial screening tool, particularly in resource‐limited settings such as rural areas, where access to advanced medical equipment like MRI and ...

Azolla Pinnata SEGAR SEBAGAI PAKAN ALTERNATIF UNTUK MENGURANGI BIAYA PRODUKSI AYAM BROILER

open access: yesJurnal Agrisep, 2019
Feeds costs are the largest cost in livestock business, which reaches 60-70% of all production costs. Feed costs can be reduced by using alternative feed ingredients that have high value, relatively cheap prices, easy to obtain and safe for consumption,

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.

Feeding and the Equilibrium Feeder Animal Price-Weight Schedule [PDF]

open access: yes
Feeder animal prices depend on fed animal prices, the biological growth technology, and feed costs. In addition, daily maintenance costs can be avoided through accelerated feeding.

Thermophysical Properties of the Desulphurization Slags With Various CaS and CaO/Al2O3 Ratio

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article investigates how CaS content and the CaO/Al2O3 ratio influence the thermophysical properties of desulphurization slags. Using experimental measurements and thermodynamic simulations, this study reveals complex effects on viscosity, surface tension, and density, providing new insight into slag structure and phase behavior under ...

The Structure of costs and income of broiler chicken farming in different partnership patterns in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, Indonesia

open access: yesJurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Peternakan, 2022
In Indonesia, poultry farmers are faced with increasing input prices, especially feed prices, even though the feed is the largest component of broiler chicken production costs, while on the other hand broiler chicken prices fluctuate.
