EEG Signal Classification by

open access: yes, 2006
this report, we use feed forward neural network to model the raw data of slow cortical potential (SCP) with some preprocessing to remove artifacts. This approach avoids the need of expert knowledge for extracting suitable features. The proposed 2 method

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

REMOVAL OF LEAD, COPPER AND NICKEL IONS FROM WASTEWATER BY FORWARD OSMOSIS PROCESS

open access: yesDiyala Journal of Engineering Sciences, 2015
In this study the application of a novel forward osmosis (FO) process for the removal of Pb(II), Cu(II), and Ni(II) metal ions from wastewater is briefly described. Polyamide (thin film composite (TFC))used as flat sheet forward membrane for heavy metal

Molecular Appendix Adjusted Architectural Propagations of Red‐Light Controlled Macroscopic Photoactuating Performances

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Amphiphilic chloroazobenzenes, bearing different amino acids as end groups alanine, phenylalanine, and valine, exhibit excellent photoisomerizations. Varying structures of three amino acid groups participate in supramolecular formations and therefore photoinduced morphological transformations via adjusting intermolecular interactions. These interaction

Continual Learning for Multimodal Data Fusion of a Soft Gripper

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Models trained on a single data modality often struggle to generalize when exposed to a different modality. This work introduces a continual learning algorithm capable of incrementally learning different data modalities by leveraging both class‐incremental and domain‐incremental learning scenarios in an artificial environment where labeled data is ...

Echinoderm‐Inspired Autonomy for Soft‐Legged Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Inspired by echinoderms, a modular soft robot achieves autonomous phototaxis without a central controller or explicit communication. Each limb independently adapts its actuation timing through local sensing and short‐term memory. Coordination emerges purely from physical interactions, demonstrating resilience to changes in morphology, environment, and ...

Backpropagation Through Soft Body: Investigating Information Processing in Brain–Body Coupling Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study explores how information processing is distributed between brains and bodies through a codesign approach. Using the “backpropagation through soft body” framework, brain–body coupling agents are developed and analyzed across several tasks in which output is generated through the agents’ physical dynamics.
