Molecular characterisation of human penile carcinoma and generation of paired epithelial primary cell lines

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

SIMULATION OF LINEAR POSITION HYDRAULIC DRIVE FOR MACHINE POWER DRILL FEED

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Research, 2013
The generalized trajectory of the power drill (PD) operational cycle is considered. In the case under study, the PD shows the increased speed and positioning accuracy of the fluid-feed. An automated hydraulic drive for providing the structural parametric

Influence of the feed rate value on the distribution of the Q‑factor along the cone of deformation of a CPR mil

open access: yesЛитьë и металлургия, 2023
To ensure the formation of the necessary microstructure of pipes made of titanium alloys of the Ti‑3Al‑2,5V type, when they are deformed at cold pilgrim rolling mills, it is necessary to provide certain deformation conditions.

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Split-Plot I-Optimal Design Optimisation of Combined Oil-Based and Friction Stir Rotation-Assisted Heating in SPIF of Ti-6Al-4V Titanium Alloy Sheet under Variable Oil Pressure

open access: yesMetals, 2022
The aim of this paper is to determine the optimal input parameters for the process in order to ensure the maximum formable wall angle is obtained in a conical frustum with a varying wall angle fabricated using Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF). The

Digestibility in selected rainbow trout families and modelling of growth from the specific intake of digestible protein [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The experiments aimed to clarify variations in digestibility of dietary nutrients in rainbow trout. Furthermore, the objective was to study how differences in digestibility might be related to growth and feed utilisation at various growth rates.

THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FEEDING RATE AND PATCH CHOICE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, 1991
Rats in a laboratory foraging simulation searched for sequential opportunities to feed in two patches that differed in the rate at which food pellets were delivered (controlled by fixed‐interval schedules) and in the size of the pellets. The profitability of feeding in each patch was calculated in terms of time (grams per minute) and in terms of effort

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Sustainable Optimization of Drilling Parameters for AA2017/AlN Composite Materials: A Grey Relational Analysis Approach [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences
Modern engineering materials have seen remarkable development. Because conventional materials can no longer meet the needs of modern applications, numerous composites are being employed as viable alternatives.

Potentials of castor seed meal (Ricinus communis L.) as feed ingredient for Oreochromis niloticus [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The potentials of castor seed (Ricinus communis) meal as feed ingredient for Oreochromis niloticus was determined by using boiled seeds to prepare five diets which were fed to the fish species.
