Efficient feedback quantization for WLAN

2017 11th European Conference on Antennas and Propagation (EUCAP), 2017
We present an efficient feedback quantization technic for beamforming matrix compression. The proposed technic named time domain quantization TD-Q relies on the feed back of time domain parameters necessary for the reproduction of the beamforming matrix at the transmitter.

Stability analysis of quantized feedback systems including optimal dynamic quantizers

2008 47th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2008
This paper characterizes the stability of quantized feedback systems which contains optimal dynamic quantizers recently proposed by the authors. First, it is shown that the separation property of the quantizer-controller design, which is similar to the well-known separation property of the observer-controller design, holds in the quantized feedback ...

Precoder Quantization vs Channel Quantization in Interference Channel with Limited Feedback

2017 Twenty-third National Conference on Communications (NCC), 2017
In this paper, we compare the precoder and channel feedback in interference channel (IC) when interference alignment (IA) is used. In literature, the channel direction has been quantized and fed back in IC. Here, we consider the precoder quantization and feedback (PQFB) in IC, and seek its benefits over channel feedback.

Energy-efficient modulation selection and feedback quantization

2012 IEEE 17th International Workshop on Computer Aided Modeling and Design of Communication Links and Networks (CAMAD), 2012
In this paper, we consider the energy efficiency (EE) of a single-link system, requiring feedback for reliable transmission. A quantized value of the signal-to-noise ratio is sent back to select the scheme that achieves maximum EE. Besides the energy consumption at the transmitter, we account for the energy consumed at the receiver to feedback the ...

State estimation in quantized feedback control system

2014 IEEE 13th International Workshop on Advanced Motion Control (AMC), 2014
Recently, by development of communication techniques, control via communication is expected to take important part in networked control systems (NCSs) and so on. The main problem of the NCSs is that data are transmitted via a communication channel which has a constraint of capacity by converting a continuous signal into a discrete signal by using ...

Feedback Quantization Strategies for Multiuser Diversity Systems

IEEE Transactions on Information Theory, 2007
In a system utilizing multiuser diversity, regular feedback of channel-quality predictions to the base station is required for each user. Typically, the measure of channel quality must be quantized at each mobile station before it can be sent back.

Nonlinear Stabilization by Hybrid Quantized Feedback

2000
This paper is concerned with global asymptotic stabilization of continuous-time control systems by means of quantized feedback. For linear systems, a hybrid control strategy for dealing with this problem was recently proposed by Roger Brockett and the author.

Multiuser communication with quantized feedback

2019
This thesis considers communication over various types of Gaussian channels with quantized channel output feedback. Here, the received signals are quantized and then directly fed back to one or multiple transmitters. We study point-to-point and multiuser communication scenarios. In the case of multiple users we consider the multiple access channel, i.e.
