Resonance and Feedback Stabilization

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1995
Abstract It is shown that no resonance and small time local controllability for an n-dimensional, real analytic, single input affine control system imply many standard necessary conditions for the existence of a continuous, asymptotically stabilizing (state) feedback control (ASFC).

Stability of Decision Feedback Inverses

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1976
The method of inversion of linear discrete time systems utilizing quantized feedback is examined, and a stability concept is developed. The application in mind is decision feedback equalization (DFE). Sets of necessary conditions and sufficient conditions for stability are derived.

Feedback Stabilized Fabry-Perot Interferometer

Applied Optics, 1973
A method of stabilizing a Fabry-Perot interferometer with respect to a reference wavelength, while simultaneously stabilizing the parallelism of the flats, is described. The method consists of creating correcting signals proportional to the displacement of the fringe maxima of three auxiliary spectral sources with respect to a fixed reference point and

Robust stabilization via saturated feedback

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2005
In this paper, we deal with the problem of stabilization of uncertain systems in the presence of input constraint. First algebraic conditions are derived for input-to-state stability of linear system with saturated linear feedback of low dimension. Then a recursive design procedure is derived for robust stabilization of block upper triangular nonlinear

Feedback stabilization over commutative rings: two-stage feedback stabilization approach

Proceedings of the 36th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002
Two criteria of the feedback stabilizability for MIMO systems over a commutative ring are given. Both of them are generalizations of Sule's results (1994). The first criterion is presented in terms of modules generated from a plant and does not require the plant be strictly causal.

Stabilized Feedback Amplifiers*

Bell System Technical Journal, 1934
This paper describes and explains the theory of the feedback principle and then demonstrates how stability of amplification and reduction of modulation products, as well as certain other advantages, follow when stabilized feedback is applied to an amplifier. The underlying principle of design by means of which singing is avoided is next set forth.
