Blue‐Emitting ZnSe(Te) Quantum Dots and Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Zn‐based quantum dots (QDs) have been regarded as the most promising Cd‐free candidates for blue‐emitting applications. ZnSe QDs exhibit an ultra‐narrow full width at half maximum (FWHM), high photoluminescence quantum yield (PLQY), and excellent environmental stability, making them ideal for blue‐violet emitters.

THE DYNAMICS OF FEEDER CATTLE MARKET RESPONSES TO CORN PRICE CHANGE

open access: yes
A feeder-calf price model is estimated which incorporates elements of break-even budget analysis, including estimates of placement weights, slaughter weights, ration cost, and feed-conversion rates.

Frequency Response Assessment of Distribution Feeders With Capacitor Banks for Voltage Harmonic Mitigation: A Practical Approach With Field Measurements

open access: yesIEEE Access
Harmonic distortions are major power quality issues observed in distribution systems, causing overloading, overheating, increased losses, reduced equipment lifespan, malfunctioning of devices, and, in extreme cases, service interruptions and shutdowns of

Dumbbell‐Structured Plasmonic‐Enhanced Optical Nanoprobes Boosting Photo‐Magnetic‐Acoustic Multimodal Imaging‐Guided Photodynamic‐Photothermal Synergistic Treatment and Immunogenic Death in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reports a novel rationally‐designed optical nanoprobe based on dumbbell‐shaped mesoporous silica‐coated gold nanorods, loaded with rare‐earth oxides, photosensitizers, and tumor‐targeted peptides, enabling plasmonic‐enhanced multimodal imaging and PTT‐PDT synergy.

BASIS VARIABILITY ON THE FEEDER CATTLE CONTRACT VERSUS THE FAILED STOCKER CONTRACT

open access: yes
Basis variability is compared across markets, over time, between stocker and feeder cattle and the impact of market volume is determined. Variability was significantly greater with the Stocker contract. Volume varied seasonally by market.

Self‐Powered Bearing Sensing and Real‐Time Fault Diagnosis Enabled by Non‐Invasive Triboelectric Sensors and Edge AI Acceleration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study achieves the synergistic integration of self‐powered sensing and edge AI acceleration to establish a real‐time fault diagnosis system. The proposed TENG‐based self‐powered bearing sensor (NSE‐TBS) and FPGA‐accelerated edge AI framework fundamentally break through the inherent limitations of conventional monitoring systems, including complex ...

HEDGING RISK FOR FEEDER CATTLE WITH A TRADITIONAL HEDGE COMPARED TO A RATIO HEDGE

open access: yes
This paper compares hedging risk for various weights of feeder cattle hedged with a traditional cross hedge and a ratio cross hedge. A traditional hedge calls for the purchase/sale of one pound of futures for each pound of cash feeder cattle. By contrast,

Demand-agnostic assessment of on-demand pooled transit services

open access: yesEuropean Transport Research Review
This study proposes a method to assess the potential of pooled on-demand transit feeder services in urban areas where demand is not yet known. We introduce the ‘fraction of demand’, reflecting the probability that a resident will use the service.
