Synthesis and Structure of Feet-to-Feet Connected Bisresorcinarenes

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2017
Bisresorcinarenes 1a-d were obtained in excellent yields, and 1e was finally obtained in 50% yield. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that 1a and 1b adopted helical conformations, whereas the two resorcinarenes of 1c-e were in parallel orientations in which the clefts of the aliphatic chains entrapped one or two solvent molecules.

Conformational Characteristics of Feet-to-Feet-Connected Biscavitands

The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
X-ray crystallography of an acetoxy-protected bisresorcinarene and biscavitands possessing phosphonate and dialkylsilyl bridges revealed that the bisresorcinarene and the biscavitands adopt helical forms in the solid state. Helical conformations were also found in solution.

Dermatoses of the Feet

American Journal of Clinical Dermatology, 2000
When evaluating rashes on the feet, the distribution and type of lesions should be noted and the toe clefts and toenails carefully examined. Diagnostic clues such as psoriatic plaques on the scalp, knees or elbows, or flexural changes of eczema, should also be sought elsewhere on the body. In addition, fungal cultures of skin and/or toenails are often
