4D Mapping of ZIF Biocomposites for High Protein Loading and Tunable Release Profiles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Systematic four‐dimensional mapping of zeolitic imidazolate framework biocomposites reveals how precursor ratios, total concentration, and washing define crystalline phase, protein loading, and release kinetics. This comprehensive study identifies conditions yielding record loading (∼85%) and precise phase–property correlations.

Irreducible Induced Representations of Fell Bundle C*-Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We give precise conditions under which irreducible representations associated to stability groups induce to irreducible representations for Fell bundle C*-algebras. This result generalizes an earlier result of Echterhoff and the second author.

Real extensions of distal minimal flows and continuous topological ergodic decompositions

open access: yes, 2012
We prove a structure theorem for topologically recurrent real skew product extensions of distal minimal compact metric flows with a compactly generated Abelian acting group (e.g. $\Z^d$-flows and $\R^d$-flows).

Multivalent Protein Nanorings for Broad and Potent SARS‐CoV‐2 Neutralization

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A protein‐only, modular multivalent nanoscaffold displaying 20 anchor points, decorated with two different binders (10 of each), targeting the SARS‐CoV‐2 receptor‐binding domain is presented. The construct self‐assembles into stable, biocompatible, homogeneous nanoparticles, exhibit synergistic binding with fM IC50 values. It also detects spike at 9 ng

Stone duality and quasi-orbit spaces for generalised C*-inclusions

open access: yes, 2018
Let $A$ and $B$ be $C^*$-algebras with $A\subseteq M(B)$. Exploiting Stone duality and a Galois connection between restriction and induction for ideals in $A$ and $B$, we identify conditions that allow to define a quasi-orbit space and a quasi-orbit map ...

An In Situ Embedded B‐MOF Sponge With Shape‐Memory for All‐in‐One Diabetic Wound Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A smart shape‐memory sponge dressing (P1A3@B‐MOF) is developed for accelerated diabetic wound healing. It achieves pH‐responsive corelease of Zn2+ and salvianolic acid B, synergistically providing antibacterial action, repolarizing macrophages to the M2 phenotype, and promoting angiogenesis.

The descriptive set-theoretic complexity of the set of points of continuity of a multi-valued function

open access: yes, 2011
In this article we treat a notion of continuity for a multi-valued function $F$ and we compute the descriptive set-theoretic complexity of the set of all $x$ for which $F$ is continuous at $x$.

Beyond Presumptions: Toward Mechanistic Clarity in Metal‐Free Carbon Catalysts for Electrochemical H2O2 Production via Data Science

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metal‐free carbon catalysts enable the sustainable synthesis of hydrogen peroxide via two‐electron oxygen reduction; however, active site complexity continues to hinder reliable interpretation. This review critiques correlation‐based approaches and highlights the importance of orthogonal experimental designs, standardized catalyst passports ...

Microscopic Insights into Magnetic Warping and Time‐Reversal Symmetry Breaking in Topological Surface States of Rare‐Earth‐Doped Bi2Te3

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic doping of the topological insulator Bi2Te3 with erbium adatoms induces out‐of‐plane magnetism and breaks time‐reversal symmetry, opening a Dirac gap and driving a Fermi surface transition from hexagonal to star‐of‐David geometry. Microscopy, spectroscopy, and magnetic dichroism reveal atomically controlled magnetic interactions that tailor the

Simultaneous Feeder Routing and Conductor Selection in Rural Distribution Networks Using an Exact MINLP Approach

open access: yesSmart Cities
This article addresses the optimal network expansion problem in rural distribution systems using a mixed-integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model that simultaneously performs route selection and conductor sizing in radial distribution systems.
