The distribution of deoxyribonucleic acid in the female gametophyte of Myosurus minimus

Histochemie, 1968
An investigation of the distribution of deoxyribonucleic acid in the female gametophyte of the angiosperm Myosurus has revealed that the egg and polar nuclei show no detectable Feulgen reaction. Deoxyribonucleic acid was nevertheless demonstrated in these nuclei by means of fluorescence microscopy and ultraviolet microspectrography.

New perspectives on the angiosperm female gametophyte

The Botanical Review, 1990
This review builds upon previous classifications of angiosperm female gametophytes but offers two new perspectives. Firstly, the course of development is compared to an algorithm: a predetermined set of rules that produces a mature female gametophyte. This analogy allows hypotheses to be developed as to what changes in the “developmental program” are ...

[Studies on the megasporogenesis and microsporegenesis and the development of the female gametophyte and male gametophyte in Camptotheca acuminate].

Fen zi xi bao sheng wu xue bao = Journal of molecular cell biology, 2009
The ovarium is hypostasy in Camptotheca acuminate Decne.. It has a locule and an ovule. The ovule is pendulous, anatropous andunitegmic. The ovule of Camptotheca acuminate Decne. is pseudocrassinucellate ovule. The development of embryo sac is polygonum type. Cytokinesis during the meiosis of microspore mother cells is of simultaneous type.
