Does the “delayed start” protocol with gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist improve the pregnancy outcome in Bologna poor responders? a randomized clinical trial

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2018
Background Recently, a novel approach with delaying the start of controlled ovarian stimulation along with gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist pretreatment for 7 days after estrogen priming for further suppression of endogenous follicle ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

Deciphering transcriptional plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma reveals alterations in sensory neuron innervation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic sensory neurons innervating healthy and PDAC tissue were retrogradely labeled and profiled by single‐cell RNA sequencing. Tumor‐associated innervation showed a dominant neurofilament‐positive subtype, altered mitochondrial gene signatures, and reduced non‐peptidergic neurons.

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting

Infertility and its management from a pharmacological perspective

open access: yes, 2023
Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive after at least 12 months of regular and unprotected sexual intercourse. Infertility is a medical problem of increasing prevalence and is estimated to affect 8-12% of couples of reproductive age ...

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Non-syndromic monogenic female infertility

open access: yes, 2019
Infertility is a significant clinical problem. It affects 8-12% of couples worldwide, about 30% of whom are diagnosed with idiopathic infertility (infertility lacking any obvious cause).
