In‐Operando FTIR Study to Investigate the Effect of Varying Lithium Salts on Solid Electrolyte Interface (SEI) Evolution in Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A clear correlation between electrolyte salt chemistry and Solid Electrolyte Interface (SEI) performance in lithium metal batteries is established using in operando FTIR spectroscopy. This study shows that LiTFSI instantaneously forms a robust, inorganic organic hybrid SEI (LiF, Li3N, Li2O, ROCO2Li, ROLi) that minimizes overpotential, while less ...

Lithiation‐Driven LiCrSe2 Shell Growth on Metallic CrSe2 Core Governs the Plateau–Slope Behavior

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Layered CrSe2 is investigated as a lithium‐ion battery cathode combining fast Li+ diffusion and structural reversibility. Calculations and experiments reveal a single topotactic intercalation process with a characteristic plateau–slope profile governed by lithiation‐induced conductivity changes. A core‐shell lithiation evolution underpins its high‐rate

Gender Quotas and Women’s Political Participation in Slovenia and Croatia: When Similar Historical Developments and Homogeneity of Design Yield Different Outcomes

open access: yes, 2018
This paper aims at summarizing the knowledge surrounding gender quotas – which are a quick gate-way to women’s political participation – and at assessing the efficacy of their different means of implementation.

Bio‐templated Piezoresistive Yarn for High Sensitivity Movement Monitoring Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a conductive coating by biotemplating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) onto a Potato virus A (PV) particle network, cross‐linked on co‐polyamide‐starch (CoPA‐SS) coils. The combination of CoPA‐SS's shape memory and PV‐AgNP's piezoresistivity achieved high strain sensitivity and minimal hysteresis.

Interface Construction via Scavenging Oxygen Species Enables High‐Performance Li‐Rich Layered Oxide Cathode

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To inhibit electrolyte decomposition by nucleophilic attack in carbonate electrolyte, LiBOB and LiDFOP with strong oxygen scavenging ability are selected to quench reactive oxygen species and following construct a robust CEI film on the LRLO cathode. The electrochemical performance of the LRLO cathode is largely improved, attributed to decomposition ...

Interfacially Reinforced Crosslinked Binder with Structural Integrity for Stable Micro‐Sized Silicon Anodes in All‐solid‐state Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT All‐solid‐state batteries (ASSBs) have attracted considerable attention as next‐generation energy storage systems owing to their high energy density and safety. However, their performance is critically limited by insufficient solid–solid interfacial contact and severe chemomechanical degradation, particularly for micro‐sized silicon (µSi ...

Electrolyte‐Dependent Sodium Plating for Anode‐Free Na‐Ion Batteries Studied by Operando Optical Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Anode‐free sodium‐ion batteries are examined using carbonate‐, glyme‐, and localized high‐concentration electrolytes. Distinct sodium plating morphologies are identified by operando optical microscopy, revealing uniform crystalline deposition for glyme‐based systems.

Barriers and enablers: Review research on women entrepreneurship and its impact on sustainable tourism development

open access: yesEntrepreneurial Business and Economics Review
Objective: People often glorify the tourism industry as a gateway for entrepreneurial opportunities, particularly for women. However, its structural inequalities remain largely unaddressed. While women play a significant role in tourism entrepreneurship,
