Method for reconstructing femoral head blood supply by anastomosing the intraosseous artery

open access: yesHeliyon
Background: The reconstruction of femoral head blood supply is crucial in the management of avascular necrosis and related conditions. This study presents a method for reconstructing the femoral head blood supply by anastomosing the intraosseous artery ...

Jarak antara Saraf Femoralis dan Arteri Femoralis pada Daerah Lipat Inguinal Orang Dewasa dengan Menggunakan Pencitraan Ultrasonografi untuk Panduan Letak Penyuntikan Blokade Saraf Femoralis

open access: yesJurnal Anestesi Perioperatif, 2015
The femoral nerve block is one the peripheral nerve block methods that are used to falicitate lower extremity surgical procedures. The advantages of femoral nerve block include an effective perioperative analgesia with minimum systemic side effects ...

Multi‐Omics and ‐Organ Insights into Energy Metabolic Adaptations in Early Sepsis Onset

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study shows that patients at risk of sepsis have a distinct metabolite and lipid signature, including serine and aminoadipic acid, in their serum before clinical diagnosis. A mouse model of sepsis with a compatible serum signature reveals underlying metabolic changes, including mitochondrial adaptation, altered serine‐dependent purine metabolism ...

Analysis of Femoral Components of Cemented Total Hip- Arthroplasty [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
In cemented Total Hip Arthroplasty (THA), material chosen for femoral stem and cross section of stem itself, proved to be critical parameters for, stress distribution in the femoral components, interfacial stresses and micro movements. Titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V), when used as a material for femoral stem, recorded large displacement as compared to ...

Surgical and Oncological Outcomes of Conversion Surgery After Hepatic Arterial Infusion Chemotherapy for Initially Unresectable Locally Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Conversion surgery for HCC. ABSTRACT Background Since 2013, we have performed conversion surgery after hepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy (HAIC) for initially unresectable locally advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (LA‐HCC). Methods Between 2013 and 2021, we assessed the surgical and oncological outcomes and pathological findings of patients with LA‐

Retrograde cannulation of femoral artery: A novel experimental design for precise elicitation of vasosensory reflexes in anesthetized rats

open access: yesMethodsX, 2020
Vasosensory reflex responses are elicited by instillation of nociceptive agents in a segment of peripheral blood vessel. A novel method for the stimulation of perivascular afferents was designed by retrograde cannulation of femoral artery, using a 24G ...

Impact of different anesthetic protocols during anesthesia for the establishment of a porcine model of acute kidney injury

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
This study details the adaptations required to establish a long‐term anesthetic protocol in pigs. Three protocols were evaluated, with some causing malignant hyperthermia, hypoglycemia, or hemoynamic instability. The final protocol proved effective for developing a porcine AKI model requiring adequate arterial pressure maintenance.
