The purpose of this study is to compare the radiological results of fixation using the femoral neck system (FNS) and cannulated screw (CS) for treatment of femoral neck fractures.A retrospective study of patients with femoral neck fractures who underwent internal fixation and had follow-up of more than six months from 2010 to 2020 was conducted.

Improved precision with Hologic Apex software. [PDF]
UnlabelledThe precision of Hologic Apex v2.0 analysis software is significantly improved from Hologic Delphi v11.2 software and is comparable to GE Lunar Prodigy v7.5 software. Apex and Delphi precisions were, respectively, 1.0% vs. 1.2% (L1-L4 spine), 1.

Comparable results for the Femoral Neck System and three-screw fixation in femoral neck fracture treatment. [PDF]
Abstract Objectives: To report outcomes of femoral neck fractures (FNFs) treated with Femoral Neck System (FNS) and to compare the risks of later conversion to arthroplasty for FNS and fixation with cannulated screws (CNSs). Design: A retrospective study.

The Effects of Interlocking a Universal Hip Cementless Stem on Implant Subsidence and Mechanical Properties of Cadaveric Canine Femora. [PDF]
ObjectiveTo determine if an interlocking bolt would limit subsidence of the biological fixation universal hip (BFX(®)) femoral stem under cyclic loading and enhance construct stiffness, yield, and failure properties.Study designEx vivo biomechanical ...

Scintigraphic assessment of bone status at one year following hip resurfacing : comparison of two surgical approaches using SPECT-CT scan [PDF]
Objectives: To study the vascularity and bone metabolism of the femoral head/neck following hip resurfacing arthroplasty, and to use these results to compare the posterior and the trochanteric-flip approaches.

Outcomes of total hip arthroplasty, as a salvage procedure, following failed internal fixation of intracapsular fractures of the femoral neck: a systematic review and meta-analysis. [PDF]
AIMS: The optimal management of intracapsular fractures of the femoral neck in independently mobile patients remains open to debate. Successful fixation obviates the limitations of arthroplasty for this group of patients.

Optimal sliding distance in femoral neck system for displaced femoral neck fractures: a retrospective cohort study. [PDF]
Displaced femoral neck fractures frequently result in considerable patient morbidity, with complications such as postoperative femoral neck shortening occurring in up to 39.1% of cases. This shortening is associated with reduced hip function and mobility.

Management of Femoral Neck Fracture in Above Knee Amputee with Femoral Neck System: A Case Report
Introduction: Femoral neck fractures in patients with a history of above knee amputation present as a strain for orthopedic surgeons due to the difficulty of positioning and handling of the limb for proper reduction. Surgical treatment options typically involve open reduction internal fixation versus arthroplasty depending on patient factors such as ...
