Abstract The crania of leporid lagomorphs are uniquely fenestrated, including the posterior cranial bones and the lateral portion of the maxilla. The functional significance of the highly fenestrated rostrum has received considerably little attention, despite being absent in other mammalian herbivores with a long rostrum.

Fenestration System Performance Research, Testing, and Evaluation [PDF]
The US DOE was and is instrumental to NFRC's beginning and its continued success. The 2005 to 2009 funding enables NFRC to continue expanding and create new, improved ratings procedures. Research funded by the US DOE enables increased fenestration energy rating accuracy. International harmonization efforts supported by the US DOE allow the US to be the

Abstract New data on the equine aortic valve obtained using advanced techniques is especially important given the greater availability of animal models for translational research. Here we characterized the morphological and morphometric aspects of the equine aortic valve from 60 healthy hearts collected at equine abattoirs.

Abstract The study of morphological evolution is fundamentally tied to ontogeny, yet studies of these heterochronic processes in the fossil record are rare. Fossils belonging to an ontogenetic series are difficult to assign to an ontogenetic stage due to inconsistent proxies for skeletal ages, challenging to taxonomically assign due to morphological ...

IMPLEMENTING VERTICAL GREENERY ON OFFICE FAÇADE OPENING TO IMPROVE INDOOR LIGHT QUALITY
In medium-rise office building on tropical climate, façade fenestration mostly dominated by glass curtain wall. In this case, an effort should be done to control the daylight penetration and to shade glare of low sun angle especially from west ...

Abstract Fishes of the genus Enchodus were abundant and cosmopolitan in the Late Cretaceous, but are primarily known from isolated remains in Canada. Four well‐preserved fish skulls were recovered in recent years from ammolite mines sampling the Bearpaw Formation of Southern Alberta, and are here referred to Enchodus petrosus Cope, 1874.
