Update on the Role of FeNO in Asthma Management
Asthma is a heterogenous disorder characterized by presence of different phenotypes and endotypes. Up to 10% of the individuals suffer from severe asthma and are at increased risk of morbidity and mortality. Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) is a cost-effective, point of care biomarker that is used to detect type 2 airway inflammation.

Complete Series of {FeNO}8, {FeNO}7, and {FeNO}6 Complexes Stabilized by a Tetracarbene Macrocycle
Use of a macrocyclic tetracarbene ligand, which is topologically reminiscent of tetrapyrrole macrocycles though electronically distinct, has allowed for the isolation, X-ray crystallographic characterization and comprehensive spectroscopic investigation of a complete set of {FeNO}(x) complexes (x = 6, 7, 8).

A pathophysiological approach for FeNO: A biomarker for asthma
The present review is focused on literature concerning the relevance of fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) in clinical practice from a pathophysiological point of view. There is increasing evidence that asthma is a heterogeneous pathological condition characterised by different phenotypes/endotypes related to specific biomarkers, including FeNO ...

Clinical Features of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease with High Fractional Exhaled Nitric Oxide [PDF]
Background The fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FENO) test is useful in asthma patients. However, a few studies on its usefulness in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) patients have been reported.
