Composite fermions in bands with N-fold rotational symmetry
We study the effect of band anisotropy with discrete rotational symmetry $C_N$ (where $N\ge 2$) in the quantum Hall regime of two-dimensional electron systems. We focus on the composite Fermi liquid (CFL) at half filling of the lowest Landau level.

Persistent currents in carbon nanotubes
Persistent currents driven by a static magnetic flux parallel to the carbon nanotube axis are investigated. Owing to the hexagonal symmetry of graphene the Fermi contour expected for a 2D-lattice reduces to two points. However the electron or hole doping

A possible candidate for triply degenerate point fermions in trigonal layered PtBi2
Triply degenerate point (TP) fermions have been reported in MoP but the TPs are far below the Fermi level. Here, Guo et al. predict and verify the possible existence of TP fermions in trigonal layered PtBi2, where the TP points are close to the Fermi ...

2k_{F} density wave instability of composite Fermi liquid
We investigate the 2k_{F} density wave instability of non-Fermi-liquid states by combining exact diagonalization with renormalization group analysis. At the half-filled zeroth Landau level, we study the fate of the composite Fermi liquid in the presence ...

The free states-related Fermi pocket of cuprate superconductors [PDF]
To stress the effect of the pairing position deviating from the Fermi level, we must investigate the pairs in the wave vector space, and then we use the dynamic equation to study some correlation functions. This article shows that the Fermi pocket is related to the effect of free electron states on the ARPES experiment. This also leads us to understand

Bending Two-Dimensional Materials To Control Charge Localization and Fermi-Level Shift.
High-performance electronics requires the fine control of semiconductor conductivity. In atomically thin two-dimensional (2D) materials, traditional doping technique for controlling carrier concentration and carrier type may cause crystal damage and ...
