Structural-functional characterization and physiological significance of ferredoxin-NADP reductase from Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2011
Xanthomonas axonopodis pv. citri is a phytopathogen bacterium that causes severe citrus canker disease. Similar to other phytopathogens, after infection by this bacterium, plants trigger a defense mechanism that produces reactive oxygen species ...

Pseudomonas aeruginosa IscR-Regulated Ferredoxin NADP(+) Reductase Gene (fprB) Functions in Iron-Sulfur Cluster Biogenesis and Multiple Stress Response. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2015
P. aeruginosa (PAO1) has two putative genes encoding ferredoxin NADP(+) reductases, denoted fprA and fprB. Here, the regulation of fprB expression and the protein's physiological roles in [4Fe-4S] cluster biogenesis and stress protection are ...

Fluorescence Studies on Ferredoxin-NADP Reductase

open access: yesZeitschrift Fur Naturforschung - Section C Journal of Biosciences, 1973
Abstract With highly purified preparations of ferredoxin-NADP reductase (EC 1.6.99.4; also EC 1.6.1.1) from spinach chloroplasts a strong flavin fluorescence was observed (excitation at 450 nm). At pH 7.0, the fluorescence was approximately 40% higher than that of free FAD.

Adenosine triphosphate treatment affects strawberry fruit quality by regulating sugar and organic acid metabolism [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Nutrition
IntroductionStrawberries are characterized by distinctive flavors, sweet taste profiles, and abundant bioactive nutrients. However, they have a tender texture, and are prone to rapid ripening and softening post-harvest, leading to a loss of their ...

Genomic and Transcriptomic Insights Into the Autotrophic Metabolism on H2 + CO2 or CO of the Thermophilic Acetogenic Model Organism Moorella thermoacetica. [PDF]

open access: yesEnviron Microbiol
Moorella thermoacetica is the model organism for elucidation of acetogenesis. The reduction of CO2 to acetate is well studied, but how redox carrier balancing and energy conservation are maintained during autotrophic growth and how H2 is oxidised remains enigmatic.
