Preparation, Component Identification, and Antioxidant Activity of Anthocyanins From Punica granatum “Tunisia”

open access: yesAgriFood: Journal of Agricultural Products for Food, EarlyView.
The preparation for Tunisian pomegranate anthocyanin extract. The molecular mechanisms underlying the antioxidant effects of these compounds were investigated using network pharmacology and molecular docking. Antioxidant activity was evaluated through DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP assays, whereas the effects on oxidative stress and inflammation were examined in

Enhanced Elution of Residual Ammonium from Weathered Crust Elution-Deposited Rare Earth Ore Tailings by Ferric Chloride

open access: yesSeparations
The existence of residual ammonium in weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ore (WREO) tailings will cause serious environmental pollution, and it is necessary to remove it from the ore body. In this work, ferric chloride was applied as the eluent,

Coal desulfurization by ferric chloride

open access: yesFuel Processing Technology, 1995
Abstract Two methods were investigated for desulfurizing coal by treatment with FeCl 3 . One method involved treating coal with a molten mixture of FeCl 3 and NaCl at 200°C. Another method involved treating coal with dry, unfused FeCl 3 at 200–300°C. Both methods were found to reduce greatly the sulfur content of different types of bituminous coals.

Electrochemistry and Spectroscopy of Sulfate and Thiosulfate Complexes of Iron Porphyrins [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
The electrochemical and spectroscopic properties of the complex formed by the addition of thiosulfate to ferric porphyrins were examined. The NMR spectrum of the thiosulfate–ferric porphyrin complex was consistent with a high-spin ferric complex, while ...

Harnessing the Interfacial Activity of Soluble Faba Protein‐Tannic Acid Conjugates for Enhanced Lipid Oxidative Stability of Oil‐in‐Water Emulsions

open access: yesJournal of the American Oil Chemists' Society, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In oil‐in‐water emulsions, lipid oxidation begins at the interface between the two phases. One strategy to slow down this process is to place antioxidants at the interface, where they can directly block oxidative reactions. This study explored that idea by conjugating soluble faba bean protein with tannic acid using the free‐radical grafting ...
