Graphite–ferric chloride–dinitrogen pentoxide: a doubly-filled intercalation compound

J. Chem. Soc., Chem. Commun., 1974
A doubly-filled graphite-ferric chloride-dinitrogen pentoxide intercalation complex of empirical formula C31·FeCl3·(N2O5)1.7 has been prepared in which a fourth stage graphite–ferric chloride complex is independently interleaved by a second stage graphite–dinitrogen pentoxide complex.

Nonlinear magnetic behavior of five high-spin ferric heme compounds

Journal of Magnetic Resonance (1969), 1972
Abstract Using a crystal field model and generalized expressions for magnetic properties, the magnetization, susceptibilities, and effective magnetic moments of a series of high-spin heme compounds whose zero-field characteristics are known have been calculated as a function of both magnetic field strength and temperature.

The EFG in oxonium ferric orthophosphate hydrate and related compounds

Hyperfine Interactions, 1988
The point cherge model was used to interpret the small quadrupole spilting of Fe3H15(PO4)8·5H2O by comparing it with related phosphates of known structure. The approximation is sufficient as long as octahedrally coordinated compounds are compared for which Vzz and η do not change their signs.

Mössbauer Effect Studies of Electronic Relaxation in Ferric Compounds

1974
The Mossbauer spectra of several paramagnetic ferric compounds consist of a relaxation broadened singlet or quadrupole doublet. The examination of the field dependence and the temperature dependence of these spectra makes it possible to study several effects.

Uptake of Iron from Ferric Iron Compounds by Isolated Hepatocytes

1988
Reticulocyte uptake of iron from transferrin occurs by receptor-mediated endocytosis. In contrast, in the hepatocyte uptake of iron from transferrin, and also from ferric nitrilotriacetate (Fe-NTA), depends on a reductive process at the cell surface. The uptake of iron from ferritin by isolated hepatocytes depends partly on endocytosis of ferritin to ...

Fate of intravenously injected iron compounds: ferric-fructose complex, iron-EDTA, ferric hydroxide and iron-albumin labeled with 59Fe

Biochemical Pharmacology, 1967
Abstract The distribution in various organs and tissues of the rat at different times, of i.v. injected ferric hydroxide, Fe-EDTA, Fe-fructose complex and Fe-albumin labeled with 59Fe has been studied. Fe-EDTA and Fe-fructose complex are readily excreted.
