ALEXANDRE-LÉON ÉTARD Contribution to Chemistry [PDF]

open access: yesRevista CENIC Ciencias Químicas, 2021
Alexandre-Léon Étard (1852-1919) was a French chemist who discovered the synthesis of aldehydes by the oxidation of organic compounds with chlorochromic acid (Étard reaction), studied the synthesis and properties of cupro-cupric sulfites, the ...

Electrochemical oxidation of ferricyanide [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
AbstractWe report the electrochemical oxidation of ferricyanide, [FeIII(CN)6]3− and characterised the oxidation product by in-situ FTIR and XAS spectroelectrochemistry methods. Oxidation of [FeIII(CN)6]3− is proposed to proceed via a tentative Fe(IV) intermediate that undergoes reduction elimination to give cis-[FeIII(CN)4(CH3CN)2]1− as stable product ...

ALEXANDRE-LÉON ÉTARD The Étard reaction and other contributions to chemistry

open access: yesRevista CENIC Ciencias Químicas, 2019
Alexandre-Léon Étard (1852-1919) was a French chemist who studied the chemistry of chrome and its derivatives, in particular the reactions that transformed the salts of chromic oxide from one derivative into another, and the action of chlorochromic acid ...

STRUCTURE OF COBALT FERRICYANIDE

open access: yesLe Journal de Physique Colloques, 1979
Using Mössbauer spectroscopy and X-ray powder diffraction, the structure of Co2+[Fe(CN)6]3- and its stability have been investigated around room temperature. We have gotten a result that the stability of ferrocyanide formed by heating cobalt ferricyanide depends on whether the sample is heated under vacuum or in air.

THE REACTIONS OF DENATURED EGG ALBUMIN WITH FERRICYANIDE [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of General Physiology, 1939
The following facts have been established experimentally. 1. In the presence of the synthetic detergent, Duponol PC, there is a definite reaction between dilute ferricyanide and denatured egg albumin. 0.001 mM of ferrocyanide is formed by the oxidation of 10 mg.
