Welding power and post‐weld heat treatment (PWHT) at 850°C influence phase transformations in S32205 duplex stainless steel, promoting sigma phase formation and reducing corrosion resistance. PWHT at 850°C also replicates HAZ‐like microstructures in base metal, enabling improved characterization of weld joint properties.

ABSTRACT Reliable operation of high‐performance magnetostrictive devices, composed of the giant magnetostrictive material (GMM), that is, the TbDyFe alloy, critically depends on an optimally tailored bias magnetic field. Sufficient intensity and uniformity are essential to induce the ideal initial strain in the GMM, enabling peak reciprocating output ...

Some remarks on particle size effects on the abrasion of a range of Fe based alloys [PDF]
The low-stress three body abrasion behaviour of a range of steels was investigated. The tests were carried out in a rubber wheel tester (according to ASTM G65-94, reapproved in 2000) at room temperature.

This review investigates the processing‐microstructure‐property relationships in ferritic stainless steels (FSSs). It highlights advances in deformation behavior, heat treatments, surface modifications, and alloying effects. Theoretical models, including Johnson‐Mehl‐Avrami‐Kolmogorov, Arrhenius, nucleation theory, and diffusion theories, are discussed
