Domain Wall Orientations in Ferroelectric Superlattices Probed with Synchrotron X-Ray Diffraction
Ferroelectric domains in PbTiO$_3$/SrTiO$_3$ superlattices were studied using synchrotron X-ray diffraction. Macroscopic measurements revealed a change in the domain wall orientation from $\left\lbrace 100 \right\rbrace $ to $\left\lbrace 110 \right ...

Decoding THz‐Driven Dynamic Fingerprints of Ferroelectric Nanotwin Networks
ABSTRACT Ultrafast polarization dynamics in ferroelectrics are of considerable interest for high‐speed tunable dielectrics and electro‐optics. Extended domain wall networks formed in ferroelectric twin nanodomains can support collective dynamics in the terahertz regime but require techniques that track polarization and strain evolution driven by ...

Spin‐Orbit Torque Induced by Switchable Crystal Inversion Symmetry Breaking
An exotic crystal inversion symmetry breaking in SrRuO3/BiFeO3 heterostructure is revealed, and it can be reversibly manipulated by the ferroelectric polarization of BiFeO3. This crystal inversion symmetry breaking can dramatically enhance the spin‐orbit torque efficiency in the SrRuO3 layer by more than 60%, providing an alternative to design an ...

We show experimental switching data on microscale capacitors of lead-zirconate-titanate (PZT), which reveal time-resolved domain behavior during switching on a 100-ns scale. For small circular capacitors, an unswitched domain remains in the center while complete switching is observed in square capacitors.
