The Effect of Ferrous Nano-oxide Particles on Physiological Traits and Nutritional Compounds of Soybean ( Glycine max L.) Seed

open access: yesAnais da Academia Brasileira de Ciências, 2018
Soybean (Glycine max L.) seed contains amounts of protein, lipid, carbohydrate and mineral elements, which protein and lipid have been known as a main part for soybean’s trade value. In this study, in order to investigate the effect of ferrous nano-oxide

Pyocyanin and 1-Hydroxyphenazine Promote Anaerobic Killing of Pseudomonas aeruginosa via Single-Electron Transfer with Ferrous Iron

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum, 2022
Previously, it was reported that natural phenazines are able to support the anaerobic survival of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PA14 cells via electron shuttling, with electrodes poised as the terminal oxidants (Y. Wang, S. E. Kern, and D. K.

Advances in Methods for Recovery of Ferrous, Alumina, and Silica Nanoparticles from Fly Ash Waste

open access: yesCeramics, 2020
Fly ash or coal fly ash causes major global pollution in the form of solid waste and is classified as a “hazardous waste”, which is a by-product of thermal power plants produced during electricity production. Si, Al, Fe Ca, and Mg alone form more than 85%

Shear-driven reactions of organosulfur compounds on ferrous surfaces: A molecular dynamics study

open access: yesTribology International, 2022
Abstract Chemical reactions in sliding contacts driven by the combined effects of heat, pressure, and shear underlie the function of lubricant additives that protect surfaces from friction and wear. However, the interplay between thermal and mechanical effects in driving these important reactions, as well as the roles of base oil molecules and ...

Interactions of Ascorbic Acid, 5-Caffeoylquinic Acid, and Quercetin-3-Rutinoside in the Presence and Absence of Iron during Thermal Processing and the Influence on Antioxidant Activity

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Bioactive compounds in fruit and vegetables influence each other’s antioxidant activity. Pure standards, and mixtures of the common plant compounds, namely ascorbic acid, 5-caffeoylquinic acid, and quercetin-3-rutinoside (sum 0.3 mM), in the presence and

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Comparison of the effectiveness of ferrous ascorbate with ferrous sulphate in improving haemoglobin percentage among ante-natal mothers in rural field practice area of a medical college

open access: yesJournal of Family Medicine and Primary Care
Background Anaemia in pregnancy is defined by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as a haemoglobin concentration of less than 11 g/dl in venous blood. The prevalence of anaemia among ante-natal mothers in India is 50.3%[3].
