AbstractLipid peroxidation effects of ferric maltol have been compared with those of ferrous sulphate both in lecithin liposomes and in brush border and mitochondrial membranes prepared from rat small intestine. Ferrous sulphate, but not ferric maltol, initiated peroxidation in liposomes as measured by conjugated diene production, but, with 500 μM ...

This study reveals a novel GC therapy targeting cholesterol homeostasis. Inhibiting the SCAP sterol‐sensing domain causes lethal ER stress via cholesterol accumulation, paradoxically forcing continuous synthesis that triggers ferroptosis. The findings link sterol sensing, metabolic dysregulation, and ferroptosis, establishing an anti‐cancer paradigm ...

Synthesis, Anticholinesterase and Antioxidant Activity of Thiosemicarbazone Derivatives
In this research, we report the synthesis and evaluation of novel thiosemicarbazones as anti-Alzheimer’s agents. The structural clarification of the newly synthesized compounds was carried out by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and MS analyses.

A microbiota‐derived metabolite, indole‐3‐pyruvic acid, suppresses macrophage ferroptosis through the AHR–NF‐κB–SLC7A11 axis. This preserves CD8+ T cell function in bladder cancer. Macrophage‐targeted nanoparticles enhance indole‐3‐pyruvic acid delivery and overcome resistance to PD‐1 blockade.

Fulleropeptide esters as potential self-assembled antioxidants
The potential use of amphiphilic fullerene derivatives as a bionanomaterial was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and the ferrous ion oxidation–xylenol orange (FOX) method.

This study presents a computational tunnel engineering strategy in Fe(II)/α‐ketoglutarate‐dependent dioxygenases (αKGDs) to enhance oxygen (O2) transport, an essential molecule for αKGDs, and limit hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) entry, an inhibitor from the αKG supply system.

An STI‐guided metagenomic association framework links soybean salt‐tolerance phenotypes with rhizosphere microbiome composition and network organization in natural saline soils. The approach identifies candidate beneficial taxa, including Thalassospira xiamenensis, and provides an efficient strategy for mining stress‐protective microbes from native ...
