Prediction of the lower serum anti-Müllerian hormone threshold for ovarian stimulation prior to in-vitro fertilization using the Elecsys® AMH assay: a prospective observational study

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2019
Background In assisted reproductive technology, prediction of treatment failure remains a great challenge. The development of more sensitive assays for measuring anti-Müllerian hormone (AMH) has allowed for the possibility to investigate if a lower ...

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

Targeted management of adenomyosis: frozen embryo transfer outcomes with GnRH-agonist and letrozole therapy: a case series

open access: yesJournal of Medical Case Reports
Background Adenomyosis negatively impacts fertility treatment outcomes by lowering clinical pregnancy rates, reducing live birth rates, and increasing miscarriage rates following in vitro fertilization.

A comprehensive assessment of predictors of fertility outcomes in men with non-obstructive azoospermia undergoing microdissection testicular sperm extraction

open access: yesReproductive Biology and Endocrinology, 2020
Background Microdissection testicular sperm extraction (microTESE) in men with non-obstructive azoospermia (NOA) is the procedure that results in the highest number of sperm cells retrieved for in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Directional Flow of Confined Polaritons in CrSBr

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
CrSBr, a layered magnetic semiconductor, naturally channels self‐hybridized excitonpolaritons into highly directional flow. Its intrinsic optical anisotropy, high refractive index, and strong lightmatter coupling enable long‐range guided modes along the a‐axis, with propagation lengths set by their excitonphoton admixture.

Uniaxial Stress Enhanced Anisotropic Magnetoresistance and Superconductivity in the Kagome Superconductor LaRu3Si2

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We identify strong anisotropy in the upper critical field and magnetoresistance in the kagome superconductor LaRu3Si2, revealing pronounced electronic anisotropy. Uniaxial stress enhances magnetoresistance and Tc, with a positive correlation suggesting an electronic pairing mechanism.

Cannabis impacts female fertility as evidenced by an in vitro investigation and a case-control study

open access: yesNature Communications
Cannabis consumption and legalization is increasing globally, raising concerns about its impact on fertility. In humans, we previously demonstrated that tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and its metabolites reach the ovarian follicle.

Mechanistically Interpretable Artificial Intelligence for Designing Oxygen Electrocatalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Mechanistically interpretable artificial intelligence screens nearly seven million perovskite compositions and identifies key descriptors—d‐p hybridization and densification resistance—that govern oxygen electrocatalysis. The discovered BaCo0.8Nb0.1Zr0.1O3‐δ achieves a record 2.68 W cm−2 peak power density at 600°C with over 500 h of durable operation ...

Undetectable Serum Level of Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) in a Woman with an Unpredictable Hyper-Response During Controlled Ovarian Stimulation for an IVF-ICSI Program: Case Report

open access: yesDiseases
Background/Objectives: A decrease in serum AMH is generally associated with low ovarian response in assisted reproductive procedures, whether or not in vitro fertilization (IVF) with intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) is performed.

At Home Detection of Ovarian Health Biomarker in Menstruation Blood

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A lateral flow assay enables the detection of anti‐Müllerian hormone directly in unprocessed menstrual blood using silica‐gold nanoshells and smartphone‐assisted machine learning analysis. The platform supports decentralized, user‐operated testing in wearable and dipstick formats, highlighting the potential of menstrual blood as a non‐invasive matrix ...
