The use of insulin-like growth factor 1 improved the parameters of the seminogram in a patient with severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia [PDF]
Male patients suffering from oligoasthenoteratozoospermia typically failed to achieve pregnancy, even with assisted reproductive technologies. Growth hormone and insulin-like growth factor 1 have been shown to regulate sperm quality parameters; therefore,

Ecological and evolutionary effects of crop diversity decrease yield variability
Results highlight the ecological and evolutionary role of plant interactions in crop mixtures, which can affect yield stability, while also reflecting on the importance of climate and resource availability in modifying the diversity‐stability relationship.

Abstract Managed breeding programs are an important tool in marsupial conservation efforts but may be costly and have adverse genetic effects in unavoidably small captive colonies. Biobanking and assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) could help overcome these challenges, but further demonstration of their potential is required to improve uptake. We

Animal‐pollinated plants interact with neighbors for both abiotic resources and pollination, but few studies have compared the relative magnitude of these effects, particularly in agroecosystems. This study evaluated the effects of neighboring plants at three vertical strata (herbs, coffee bushes, and canopy trees) on pollen deposition, fertilization ...

Most efforts at explaining major policy transformation apply a single lens to study specific cases. Recent contributions have called for a more plural use of theories to facilitate the production of valuable new perspectives and research agendas. The German energy transition is a good example of such a transformative change.

Long‐term and year‐to‐year stability and its drivers in a Mediterranean grassland
This 14‐year study of a species‐rich semi‐natural Mediterranean grassland shows that stability increases with richness, asynchrony and conservative strategies. Fertilization decreases stability by promoting long‐term trends in species composition, favouring competitive species and decreasing richness.

Comparison of nitrification inhibitors to restrict nitrate leaching in a maize crop irrigated under mediterranean conditions [PDF]
The aim of this paper was to compare dicyandiamide (DCD) and 3,4 dimethylpyrazole phosphate (DMPP) as inhibitors of ammonium oxidation and nitrate leaching after applying fertilizer to a maize (Zea mays L.) crop grown under Mediterranean conditions.
