Methanol extracts of the air-dried roots and stems of Ferula kuhistanica afforded seven daucane-type sesquiterpenes, called kuhistanicaol A-G, together with 13 known daucane esters. Their structures were established on the basis of spectroscopic evidence and the results of chemical reactions.

Sesquiterpenoids from Ferula samarkandica

Ten undescribed sesquiterpenes, ferusamarkins A-J, in addition to eight known analogues were isolated from the roots of Ferula samarkandica Korovin native to Uzbekistan. Their structures were established by means of extensive spectroscopic analyses, including HRESIMS, NMR, UV and IR data.
