In vitro characterization of immune-related properties of human fetal bone cells for potential tissue engineering applications [PDF]
We describe herein some immunological properties of human fetal bone cells recently tested for bone tissue-engineering applications. Adult mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and osteoblasts were included in the study for comparison.

Glycerol permeability of human fetal and adult erythrocytes and of a model membrane
When erythrocytes from different mammalian species are compared, the hemolysis rate in 0.3 M glycerol is seen to be directly related to the percentage of lecithin in the erythrocyte phospholipid. Since this percentage is higher in erythrocytes from human

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.
