Diagnostic Value of Exome Sequencing in Isolated Polyhydramnios

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate the diagnostic yield of exome sequencing (ES) in isolated polyhydramnios. Methods This retrospective study included 40 cases of isolated polyhydramnios. All patients underwent screening for gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and chromosomal microarray analysis (CMA).

Lithospermic Acid Improves Doxorubicin‐Induced Cardiomyopathy Through Sirtuin‐3‐Mediated Deacetylation of p53

open access: yesPhytotherapy Research, EarlyView.
Lithospermic acid (LA) inactivates the p53 signaling pathway via directly targeting SIRT3, thereby alleviating oxidative stress and abnormal apoptosis in the progression of doxorubicin (Dox)‐induced cardiomyocytes. ABSTRACT Doxorubicin (Dox)‐induced cardiomyopathy (DIC) is characterized by significant myocardial damage that can progress to dilated ...

Fetal cardiac remodeling in second trimester in pregnancies with pre‐eclampsia and/or fetal growth restriction: deep‐learning‐based approach using population‐wide data

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Pre‐eclampsia (PE) and fetal growth restriction (FGR) have been shown to impact fetal cardiac remodeling in the third trimester and postnatally, with evidence to suggest that this leads to increased long‐term cardiovascular risk. This study aimed to examine fetal cardiac remodeling in pregnancies with PE and/or FGR during the second ...

Impact of socioeconomic status and remoteness of residence on pregnancy outcome in major congenital heart disease: mediation analysis

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Increased remoteness of residence (RoR) and lower socioeconomic status (SES) negatively impact the rate and gestational age (GA) at the diagnosis of major congenital heart disease (mCHD). We examined the direct and indirect relationships of RoR from a tertiary fetal cardiology center and Chan SES index with the rate of termination of

Foetal Cardiac Function in Early Labour and Intrapartum Outcomes: A Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To assess foetal myocardial deformation in normo‐oxygenated foetuses in early labour and its relationship with intrapartum outcomes. Design Single centre prospective study. Setting Referral tertiary maternity unit. Population Uncomplicated singleton term pregnancies in early labour.

Atrioventricular Conduction Delay in Fetuses Exposed to Anti-SSA/Ro and Anti-SSB/La Antibodies: A Magnetocardiography Study

open access: yesClinical and Developmental Immunology, 2012
Background. The presence of anti-SSA/Ro and anti-SSB/La antibodies during pregnancy is associated with fetal congenital heart block (CHB), which is primarily diagnosed through fetal echocardiography.

Hemodynamic changes in pregnancies with impaired fetal growth: A systematic review and meta‐analysis

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
Maternal cardiovascular adaptation is altered in pregnancies complicated by impaired fetal growth. From the second trimester onwards, lower cardiac output and increased total peripheral vascular resistance emerge, highlighting the need for early hemodynamic monitoring and potential interventions in at‐risk pregnancies.

Prenatal echocardiographic diagnosis of congenital heart disease: comparison of past and current results

open access: yesThe Turkish Journal of Pediatrics, 2005
The increased experience in interpretation of fetal echocardiographic images may change the accuracy of fetal echocardiography in diagnosing fetal heart defects.
