FEM1B enhances TRAIL‐induced apoptosis in T lymphocytes and monocytes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
FEM1B facilitates TRAIL‐induced apoptosis through distinct mechanisms in T lymphocytes and monocytes. In T lymphocytes, FEM1B engages with TRAF2, leading to a reduction in TRAF2 expression, which subsequently lessens TRAF2's inhibitory influence on caspase‐8.

Active Inference for Closed-loop transmit beamsteering in Fetal Doppler Ultrasound [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Doppler ultrasound is widely used to monitor fetal heart rate during labor and pregnancy. Unfortunately, it is highly sensitive to fetal and maternal movements, which can cause the displacement of the fetal heart with respect to the ultrasound beam, in turn reducing the Doppler signal-to-noise ratio and leading to erratic, noisy, or missing heart rate ...

AAPM Task Group No. 249.B—Essentials and guidelines for clinical medical physics residency training program

open access: yesJournal of Applied Clinical Medical Physics, EarlyView.
Abstract The establishment of guidelines and curriculum standards for medical physics residency training is a critical component of setting expectations and competencies for the profession. Since the last publication of these standards, residency training has become integrated into the eligibility criteria for most medical physics certification bodies.

Pregnancy Outcomes of Targeted Synthetic Disease‐Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs Among Patients With Autoimmune Diseases: A Scoping Review

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective Targeted synthetic disease‐modifying antirheumatic drugs (tsDMARDs) have expanded the management of autoimmune diseases, including rheumatic diseases. As the use of these drugs grows, it is important to understand their effects on pregnancy.

Towards reconstruction of Pulsed-wave Doppler signals from Non-invasive fetal ECG [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Fetal cardiac health monitoring with invasive methods have a limited viability because they can only be utilized during labor and are uncomfortable. On the other hand non-invasive fECG are adulterated with maternal ECG, and hence resulting in poor analysis.

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, Volume 9, Issue 3, March 2025.
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...
