Consequences of fetomaternal haemorrhage after intrauterine transfusion. [PDF]

open access: yesBMJ, 1988
Fetomaternal haemorrhage was studied after 68 consecutive fetal intravascular transfusions performed in 20 patients with Rh isoimmunisation. alpha Fetoprotein concentration was assayed in maternal blood taken before, and immediately after each transfusion and three and 24 hours later.

Sonographic findings in severe fetomaternal transfusion

open access: yesArchives of Gynecology and Obstetrics, 2009
Fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH) or fetomaternal transfusion syndrome is the leakage of fetal red blood cells into the maternal circulation. Massive FMH can cause substantial fetal morbidity and mortality. Sonographic evidence of severe FMH syndrome includes fetal hydrops and other fetal anemia-related findings.

Maternal Isoimmunization-Associated Fetal Anemia After First-Trimester Abortion: A Case Report and Literature Review. [PDF]

open access: yesClin Case Rep
ABSTRACT Isoimmunization and fetal anemia pose considerable challenges in obstetrics, especially when there is a documented history of RhD incompatibility or other antibodies that may threaten fetal well‐being. These conditions frequently result in serious complications, including hydrops fetalis, fetal anemia, and, in certain situations, fetal loss ...

Characteristics of Pregnancy Course in an Infant With Cerebral Palsy Showing Decreased Fetal Movement. [PDF]

open access: yesObstet Gynecol Int
Objective To clarify the characteristics of patients with cerebral palsy (CP) showing decreased fetal movement (DFM). Methods Among patients with CP between January 2009 and February 2021, we collected cases of DFM from the causal analysis report. We retrieved the clinical course and the causes of CP. Results Of 2834 cases of CP, 225 (8%) patients were

Diagnosis of Spontaneous Massive Fetomaternal Hemorrhage: A Case Report and Literature Review. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Clin Ultrasound
Fetomaternal hemorrhage (FMH) is the passage of fetal blood through the circulatory system of the mother either before or during delivery, and it is rarely diagnosed prenatally. This paper aims to present a comprehensive review of the literature allowing us to offer comprehensive insights into the diagnosis and management of FMH.

Laboratory assessment of fetomaternal haemorrhage and Rh immune globulin management: Canadian practice and scoping review. [PDF]

open access: yesBr J Haematol
Fetomaternal haemorrhage (FMH) in RhD‐negative individuals can cause alloimmunization with future antibody‐mediated destruction of fetal red blood cells. Accurate FMH estimation guides Rh immune globulin dosing. The rosette test, the most used qualitative method, may yield false negatives with fetal RhD variants or false positives with maternal ...

Micro-CT for the differentiation between live birth and stillbirth: A pilot study. [PDF]

open access: yesJ Forensic Sci
Abstract The distinction between live births and stillbirths is crucial for determining the appropriate legal consequences. Historically, researchers have operated under the principle that an infant's lungs will be filled with air upon death, whereas a fetus's lungs will not.
