A Method for Locating Partial Discharge in Transformer Based on the Optical and Electric Collaborative Acoustic Sensing Technology

open access: yesIET Science, Measurement &Technology, Volume 20, Issue 1, January/December 2026.
To address the issues of insufficient localization accuracy with two‐dimensional sensor arrays and excessive spatial occupancy with three‐dimensional arrays, this paper proposes a transformer partial discharge localization method based on optical and electric collaborative acoustic sensing technology.

Modal Theory of Phase‐Modulated and Frequency‐Shifting Ring Cavities

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 6, Issue 12, December 2025.
We present a theoretical and experimental characterization of the optical modes of dispersionless ring cavities with phase modulators or frequency shifters. Their response to arbitrary modulation acts as a filter for phase‐modulated modes that determine the optical output of passive resonators and lasers. This provides a general framework for analyzing

Gigahertz thermoelastic acousto‐optic modulation in lithium niobate integrated photonic device

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 26, Page 4683-4690, December 2025.
Abstract Tailoring the interaction between acoustic waves and optical waves in integrated photonic circuits has emerged as a promising avenue for quantum optics and high‐speed information processing. Among various approaches, on‐chip acousto‐optic modulation (AOM) has been extensively explored in the past decade and successfully demonstrated across ...

Frequency‐multiplexed optical reservoir computing using a microcomb

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 14, Issue 18, Page 3063-3073, September 2025.
Abstract Optical reservoir computing (ORC) promises fast, energy‐efficient temporal inference by harnessing the rich transient dynamics of photonic systems. Yet most ORC demonstrations still depend on fiber delay lines or camera‐based spatial multiplexing, which caps the clock rate at a few tens of MSa/s and complicates monolithic integration.

Modelocked Thermal Frequency Combs for Ultrashort Chaotic Quantum Optics

open access: yesAdvanced Quantum Technologies, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2025.
This paper presents the generation and application of modelocked thermal frequency combs (MTCs). MTCs emit 2‐ps duration pulses at a 10‐GHz repetition rate, showing reduced coherence length. MTC diagnostics reveal nearly ideal, single‐mode thermal statistics.

Ultra‐Wideband Terahertz Integrated Polarization Multiplexer

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, Volume 19, Issue 1, January 8, 2025.
Terahertz‐integrated (de)multiplexers implemented on a substrateless silicon platform are presented. The device is experimentally validated in the sub‐terahertz J‐band (220–330 GHz) for 6G communications and beyond to support an aggregated data rate of up to 190 Gbit s−1${\rm s}^{-1}$.

Ultra‐Wideband Multidomain Modulation for Pulse LFM Radar Deception

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
An ultrawideband multidomain modulation method for pulse linear frequency modulation (LFM) radar deception, leveraging a dynamic Mach–Zehnder modulator (MZM) and fiber delay links, is proposed. The structure consists of RF transceivers and a MZM‐based module with time‐delay links to achieve high‐consistency phase, amplitude, and time‐delay modulation ...
