Modulating In‐Plane Conjugation and Core Polarity in Naphthalimide‐Based Covalent Organic Frameworks Enables Efficient H2O2 Photosynthesis

open access: yesTransformative Chemistry, EarlyView.
In this work, we integrate photoactive naphthalimide unit into highly crystalline donor–acceptor covalent organic frameworks (D–A COFs) and achieve fine‐tuning of the electronic structure of D–A COFs by synergistically modulating the in‐plane conjugation and core polarity.

Acute intermittent hypercapnic hypoxia augments left ventricular contractility

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Twenty‐four healthy adults were studied to determine the effects of an acute session of 40 min of intermittent hypercapnic hypoxia on cardiac performance. Cardiac function was assessed via echocardiography at rest and during graded stages of lower‐body negative pressure before and after the intervention to quantify load ...

The Prohibition of Approach in Child‐To‐Parent Violence: Between the Protection of the Victim and the Preservation of the Family Bond

open access: yesJournal of Investigative Psychology and Offender Profiling, Volume 23, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT This research analyses the legal and emotional tension that emerges when the measure of prohibition of approach is applied in cases of child‐to‐parent violence (CPV). Through a bibliographic review and a qualitative case‐study analysis, the paradox between the protection of victimised parents and the preservation of the family bond is examined.

Soft‐Templating Strategies for AEM Water Electrolysis: Catalyst Development and Substrate Optimization

open access: yesFuel Cells, Volume 26, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT In the pathway for a more sustainable world, hydrogen has been chosen as green energy vector, where anion exchange membrane water electrolysis (AEMWE) offers a cost‐efficient alternative to proton exchange membrane electrolysis (PEMWE) by leveraging earth‐abundant materials.

Flavouring group evaluation 420 (FGE.420): Hesperetin dihydrochalcone

open access: yes
The EFSA Panel on Food Additives and Flavourings (FAF) was requested to evaluate the safety of hesperetin dihydrochalcone [FL‐no: 16.137] as a new flavouring substance, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1331/2008.

Global Hydroclimatic Controls on Multithread River Dynamics

open access: yesAGU Advances, Volume 7, Issue 2, April 2026.
Abstract Most large rivers in densely populated areas split flow into multiple channels, forming interconnected pathways called threads. Multithread rivers are sensitive to hydroclimatic changes, yet understanding their dynamics is challenging due to the lack of robust metrics to characterize their evolution.

Co‐Designing the Early Pain Intervention After Knee Replacement (EPIK) Model of Care for People With Persistent Pain After Knee Replacement

open access: yesHealth Expectations, Volume 29, Issue 2, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Approximately one in five Australians who undergo total knee replacement (TKR) experience persistent postoperative pain. There are currently no known effective and cost‐effective multidisciplinary models of care in Australia to address this. We are developing the ‘Early Pain Intervention after Knee Replacement’ (EPIK) model of care,

The 2024 European Union monitoring report on food additives and flavourings (1st pilot)

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract This EFSA report presents the results of the 2024 European Union (EU) pilot monitoring programme on food additives and flavourings, in response to a mandate from the European Commission. This pilot focused on three food additives, green S (E 142), ponceau 4R (E 124) and tartrazine (E 102), and two flavourings, caffeine (FL No 16.016) and ...

Unraveling Endocannabinoid Signaling Pathways in Cisplatin‐Induced Ototoxicity

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 4, 28 February 2026.
We performed a comprehensive molecular profiling of the endocannabinoid (eCB) system (ECS) in an auditory Hair cell (HC)‐like cell line (1). Afterwards, we developed suitable in vitro and in vivo models of cisplatin‐induced ototoxicity where we identified distinct components of the ECS (CB2R, DAGLβ and ABHD6) as molecular targets of the drug (2 ...

Metabolic strategy and appetite regulation of Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica) subjected to long‐term food deprivation: Physiological adaptation and survival implication

open access: yesJournal of the World Aquaculture Society, Volume 57, Issue 1, February 2026.
Abstract This study examined the effects of different food deprivation periods (0, 7, 14, 28, 42, and 84 days) on physical indexes, appetite gene expression, physiological and biochemical levels and intestinal histology in Japanese eel (Anguilla japonica).
