A novel anti-inflammatory role of NCAM-derived mimetic peptide, FGL
Neurobiology of Aging, 2010Age-related cognitive deficits in hippocampus are correlated with neuroinflammatory changes, typified by increased pro-inflammatory cytokine production and microglial activation. We provide evidence that the neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM)-derived mimetic peptide, FG loop (FGL), acts as a novel anti-inflammatory agent.

The Fusarium Graminearum virulence factor FGL targets an FKBP12 immunophilin of wheat
Gene, 2013Wheat scab, caused by the fungal pathogen Fusarium graminearum is a devastating disease worldwide. Despite an extensive and coordinated effort to investigate this pathosystem, little progress has been made to understand the molecular basis of host-pathogen interactions, for example how the pathogen causes disease in plant.

Cloning and Tissue expression of the Tissue Prothrombinase Fgl-2 in the Sprague-Dawley Rat
Journal of the Society for Gynecologic Investigation, 2003To sequence and characterize the expression of the prothrombinase Fgl-2 in the Sprague-Dawley rat.Reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction was performed on RNA from spontaneously cycling adult pregnant Sprague-Dawley rats by using specific Fgl-2 primers.

Exact FGLS Asymptotics for MA Errors [PDF]
We show under very parsimonious assumptions that FGLS and GLS are asymptotically equivalent when errors follow an invertible MA(1) process. Although the linear regression model with MA errors has been studied for many years, asymptotic equivalence of FGLS and GLS has never been established for this model.

Cerebral responses to traumatic brain injury (TBI) include up- and downregulation of a vast number of proteins involved in endogenous inflammatory responses and defense mechanisms developing postinjury. The present study analyzed the global gene expression profile in response to cryo-induced TBI by means of microarray analysis.

The synthetic NCAM mimetic peptide FGL mobilizes neural stem cells in vitro and in vivo
Stem Cell Reviews and Reports, 2014The neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) plays a role in neurite outgrowth, synaptogenesis, and neuronal differentiation. The NCAM mimetic peptide FG Loop (FGL) promotes neuronal survival in vitro and enhances spatial learning and memory in rats. We here investigated the effects of FGL on neural stem cells (NSC) in vitro and in vivo.
