Somalian women with female genital mutilation had increased risk of female sexual dysfunction: a cross-sectional observational study

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2022
Studies regarding the impact of female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C) on sexual function are scarce. This study is the first to explore the rate of female sexual dysfunction (FSD) among Somalian women who underwent FGM and its association with ...

Latent Diffusion Process With Mechanistic Guidance For Designing Functionally Graded Metamaterials With Perfect Connectivity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A latent diffusion‐based framework is proposed for designing functionally graded metamaterials with perfect connectivity. By integrating vector‐quantized latent representations with mechanistic guidance, the framework enables accurate inverse design toward target elastic properties.

Evaluation of the Association of CGM Metrics with Antihyperglycemic Drugs in Insulin-Treated Diabetics

open access: yesDubai Diabetes and Endocrinology Journal, 2021
Introduction: Intermittent flash glucose monitoring (FGM) and real-time continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) are used to monitor glycemic excursions for 14 days and can demonstrate time in range (TIR), time above range (TAR), and time below range (TBR ...

Infrared Irradiation‐Assisted Pd‐Catalyzed C(sp3)─H Arylation and Tandem Cyclization of Ortho‐Tolualdehydes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A rapid and efficient protocol for the synthesis of 2‐benzylbenzaldehydes and anthracenes is reported, based on the infrared (IR) irradiation‐assisted Pd‐catalyzed C(sp3)─H arylation and the tandem C(sp3)─H arylation/electrophilic aromatic cyclization of ortho‐tolualdehydes with aryl iodides via a transient directing group (TGD) strategy.

Estimates of female genital mutilation/cutting in the Netherlands: a comparison between a nationwide survey in midwifery practices and extrapolation-model

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2020
Background Owing to migration, female genital mutilation or cutting (FGM/C) has become a growing concern in host countries in which FGM/C is not familiar.

Infrared Irradiation‐Assisted Pd/Cu Catalysis for Sustainable C–N Cross‐Coupling Reactions

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A combined Pd/Cu catalytic system is demonstrated to be highly effective in promoting infrared irradiation‐assisted Buchwald–Hartwig aminations under nonanhydrous and open‐air conditions, using only a stoichiometric amount of a green reaction solvent.

Risk factors for not proceeding to reconstructive surgery after female genital mutilation: A cohort study of 220 women in a specialized referral center

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective This study identifies factors associated with not proceeding to clitoral reconstructive surgery among women with female genital mutilation (FGM) enrolled in a specialized surgical pathway. Methods A retrospective cohort study was conducted at a multidisciplinary referral center in Montreuil, France, between January 2021 and December ...
