Efficient uncoordinated FHSS anti-jamming communication

Proceedings of the tenth ACM international symposium on Mobile ad hoc networking and computing, 2009
We address the problem of jamming-resistant communication in scenarios in which the communicating parties do not share secret keys. This includes scenarios where the communicating parties are not known in advance or where not all parties can be trusted (e.g., jamming-resistant key establishment or anti-jamming broadcast to a large set of unknown ...

FPGA implementation of FHSS-FSK modulator

2008 3rd International Conference on Design and Technology of Integrated Systems in Nanoscale Era, 2008
This In this paper, we present the Binary Frequency Shift Keying (BFSK) modulator using the Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) operating in the European band ISM 863-870 MHz. This modulator is intended for short range wireless applications, such as the wireless network sensors.

An ultra-low power predistortion-based FHSS transmitter

2006 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems, 2006
In the new era of personal communications, the energy available for a wireless node is the limiting factor. Furthermore wireless links should be robust even in the harsh indoor environment where fading, attenuation and interferences can be severe. Spread-Spectrum techniques are largely used to have a robust link, while Frequency-Hopping (FH) is the ...

Asymmetric low-power FHSS algorithm

2017 IEEE International Workshop of Electronics, Control, Measurement, Signals and their Application to Mechatronics (ECMSM), 2017
This paper documents development and basic testing of an asymmetric FHSS network. Asymmetric in a way that the network HUB or master consumes a lot of power, while the peripherals or slaves consume as little power as possible. To achieve good consumption, the input only sensors are sleeping most of the time and quickly synchronize into the FHSS scheme ...

Security Analysis of FHSS-type Drone Controller

2016
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles UAVs, or drones, have attracted a considerable amount of attentions due to their utility to civilian as well as military applications. However, the security issues involved in UAV technology have not been extensively discussed in the literature. As a first step toward analyzing these security issuxes, we investigate security in

Viterbi Detection for Compressively Sampled FHSS-GFSK Signals

IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2015
This paper proposes a sequence detector designed to retrieve data bits from compressively sampled frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) Gaussian frequency-shift keying (GFSK) signals. The received signal waveform is not reconstructed from the compressive measurements, nor are received bits detected on a symbol-by-symbol basis.

Simplified Bounds on FHSs Set and Its Strictly Optimal Construction

International Journal of Foundations of Computer Science, 2020
Frequency-hopping sequences (FHSs) with favorite partial Hamming correlation properties are intensively needed in many synchronization and multiple-access systems. Strictly optimal FHS sets are a kind of FHS sets which has optimal Hamming correlation for any correlation window.

On the Header Detection in LoRaWAN LR-FHSS

2025 3rd International Conference on Electronics, Energy and Measurement (IC2EM)
This paper proposes a novel header detection scheme for Long-Range Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (LR-FHSS) for Direct to Satellite Internet of Things (DtS-IoT). The main focus is on developing a general structure capable of addressing transmission challenges in Low Earth Orbit (LEO) environments, such as Doppler shift and Doppler rate effects ...

A novel ranging method by code and multiple carriers of FHSS systems

Wireless Telecommunications Symposium 2012, 2012
This paper gives a novel idea for two-way range estimation in FHSS (Frequency- Hopping Spread Spectrum) systems. The coarse measurements are obtained by the correlation computations of the PN (Pseudo-Random Noise) code. The fine measurements are obtained by the phase difference computations of a pair of carrier signals.

Probability of error analysis for FHSS/CDMA communications in the presence of fading

IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1992
Expressions are found for the probability of error of a slow frequency-hopped spread-spectrum (FHSS) code-division multiple-access (CDMA) system using noncoherent M-ary frequency-shift-keyed (FSK) data modification in the presence of slow-nonselective Rayleigh or single-term Rician fading.
