Divergent Roles of mGlu2 and mGlu3 Receptors in Amyloid‐β Production and Cognitive Dysfunctions in Alzheimer's Disease
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This study explores the opposing effects of the mGluR2 and mGluR3 receptors on amyloid precursor protein processing. mGluR2 promotes amyloidogenic cleavage, while mGluR3 favors non‐amyloidogenic pathways. Using a brain‐penetrant nanobody as a mGluR2 positive allosteric modulator, the study uncovers how its chronic activation aggravates amyloid‐β burden Pierre‐André Lafon, Mireille Elodie Tsitokana, Ugo Guy Alenda, Yen‐Ling Lian, Clémentine Eva Philibert, Mathieu Oosterlaken, Marta Cimadevila, Gaëlle Dudon, Jessica Monnic, Salomé Roux, Julie Bessié, Séverine Diem, Franck Vandermoere, Laurent Prézeau, Patrick Chames, Julie Kniazeff, Sylvie Claeysen, Anaïs Menny, Jean‐Philippe Pin, Véronique Perrier, Jianfeng Liu, Philippe Rondard +21 morewiley +1 more sourceMulti‐Omics Insights Into the Mechanisms of Early Muscle Fiber Difference and Transformation Between Lean‐Type and Chinese Indigenous Pigs
Advanced Science, EarlyView.Multi‐omics analyses uncover breed‐specific cis‐regulatory landscapes and higher‐order chromatin architectural differences that underlie early postnatal muscle fiber divergence in pigs. A super‐enhancer upstream of PPP3CB recruits MEF2C to activate PPP3CB transcription, while the PPP3CB–MEF2C positive feedback loop promotes oxidative muscle fiber ...Shuailong Zheng, Hainan Wu, Min Liu, Kunpeng Wu, Shuntao Huang, Zulfiqar Ahmed, Lenox Pius, Mengjin Zhu, Dequan Xu +8 morewiley +1 more sourceNanozymes for Advanced Hemoglobin‐Based Oxygen Carriers: Applications in Blood Substitution, Wound Healing, Antitumor Therapy, and Beyond
Advanced Science, EarlyView. This review explores how hemoglobin‐based oxygen carriers (HBOCs) combined with nanozymes create multifunctional materials that deliver oxygen while maintaining redox homeostasis. Beyond artificial blood substitutes, these constructs enable wound healing with light‐triggered oxygen release, cancer therapy through enhanced oxygenation and reactive ...Despoina Douka, Ana María Pablo‐Sainz‐Ezquerra, Eva Jakljevič, Niki Ktena, Leticia Hosta‐Rigau +4 morewiley +1 more sourceToward Prostate Cancer Early Warning with a Self‐Powered Wearable Biosensing Platform Integrated with Machine Learning
Advanced Science, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Current prostate cancer detection methods remain limited in non‐invasiveness and specificity, prompting interest in urinary biomarkers such as sarcosine. Here, we report a urine‐powered wearable platform for non‐invasive sarcosine detection as a proof‐of‐concept for decentralized early warning.Jing Xu, Hanxiao Chen, Qichen Yuan, Liucun Yin, Yifang Tao, Hong Wang, Yuquan Xue, Delai Fu, Huan Pang, Tie Chong, Li Xue +10 morewiley +1 more sourcePerspective in next-generation home networks: Toward optical solutions?
