1 × 3 Optical Drop Multiplexer for FTTH Applications Based on Photonic Crystal Fiber
This paper proposes a novel photonic crystal fiber-based 1 × 3 optical drop multiplexer design. According to numerical simulations, optical signals can be injected on the left core and divided into another core at various distances to separate the ...

Speckle‐Engineered Upconversion Amplification in Nanoemulsion‐Templated Hydrogel Microdomes
Nanoemulsion‐confined PEGDA microdomes generate speckle‐like excitation fields that strongly amplify upconversion luminescence upon dehydration, enabling filter‐free visible readout with reversible on–off switching. DMD‐based lithography yields scalable, shape‐programmable arrays for moisture‐responsive displays and optical encryption.

Analysis of Internet Quality Improvement from HFC to FTTH in Housing X
The demand for fast, stable, and reliable internet services continues to grow, particularly in densely populated residential areas. One of the ongoing issues is the limitations of Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC) networks, which often result in low speeds ...

Flexible piezoresistive pressure sensors underpin wearable and soft electronics. This review links sensing physics, including contact resistance modulation, quantum tunneling and percolation, to unified materials/structure design. We highlight composite and graded architectures, interfacial/porous engineering, and microstructured 3D conductive networks

Polarization-preserving confocal microscope for optical experiments in a dilution refrigerator with high magnetic field [PDF]
We present the design and operation of a fiber-based cryogenic confocal microscope. It is designed as a compact cold-finger that fits inside the bore of a superconducting magnet, and which is a modular unit that can be easily swapped between use in a ...

ABSTRACT Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.

Towards optimizing the deployment of optical access networks
In this paper we study the cost-optimal deployment of optical access networks considering variants of the problem such as fiber to the home (FTTH), fiber to the building (FTTB), fiber to the curb (FTTC), or fiber to the neighborhood (FTTN).
