The cyclic-Fibonacci hybrid sequence in groups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mahani Mathematical Research
The aim of this paper is to introduce the cyclic-Fibonacci hybrid sequence and give some properties. By taking into account the cyclic-Fibonacci hybrid sequence modulo $m$, the method will be given to determine the period lengths of this sequence ...

Free Fibonacci Sequences

open access: yes, 2014
This paper describes a class of sequences that are in many ways similar to Fibonacci sequences: given n, sum the previous two terms and divide them by the largest possible power of n. The behavior of such sequences depends on n. We analyze these sequences for small n: 2, 3, 4, and 5. Surprisingly these behaviors are very different.

On the characteristic polynomial of ( k , p ) $(k,p)$ -Fibonacci sequence

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2021
Recently, Bednarz introduced a new two-parameter generalization of the Fibonacci sequence, which is called the ( k , p ) $(k,p)$ -Fibonacci sequence and denoted by ( F k , p ( n ) ) n ≥ 0 $(F_{k,p}(n))_{n\geq0}$ .

The number of valid factorizations of Fibonacci prefixes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
We establish several recurrence relations and an explicit formula for V(n), the number of factorizations of the length-n prefix of the Fibonacci word into a (not necessarily strictly) decreasing sequence of standard Fibonacci words.

On the arrowhead-Fibonacci numbers

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2016
In this paper, we define the arrowhead-Fibonacci numbers by using the arrowhead matrix of the characteristic polynomial of the k-step Fibonacci sequence and then we give some of their properties.

The Fibonacci-Padovan sequences in finite groups [PDF]

open access: yesMaejo International Journal of Science and Technology, 2014
The Fibonacci-Padovan sequence modulo m was studied. Also, the Fibonacci-Padovan orbits of -generator finite groups such that was examined. The Fibonacci-Padovan lengths of the groups , and for , where Z is integer, were then obtained.

Power Fibonacci sequences in quadratic integer modulo m [PDF]

open access: yesNotes on Number Theory and Discrete Mathematics
The power Fibonacci sequence in ℤₘ[√δ] is defined as a Fibonacci sequence Fₙ=Fₙ₋₁+Fₙ₋₂ where F₀=1 and F₁=a, such that a∈ℤₘ[√δ] and Fₙ≡aⁿ(mod m), for all n∈ℕ∪{0}. In this paper, we investigated the existence of power Fibonacci sequences in ℤₘ[√δ], and the

Fibonacci numbers: A population dynamics perspective

open access: yesHeliyon, 2019
Fibonacci numbers or Fibonacci sequence is among the most popular numbers or sequence in Mathematics. In this paper, we discuss the sequence in a population dynamics perspective. We discuss the early development of the sequence and interpret the sequence

Accelerations of Generalized Fibonacci Sequences [PDF]

open access: yesThe Fibonacci Quarterly, 2011
In this paper we study how to accelerate the convergence of the ratios (x_n) of generalized Fibonacci sequences. In particular, we provide recurrent formulas in order to generate subsequences (x_{g_n}) for every linear recurrent sequence (g_n) of order 2.
