In this article, we assessed the differences in diet estimates and potential ecological and economic impact measurements according to the section of the gastrointestinal tract (stomach, small and large intestine) analysed. We aimed to test which section(s) provided a better diet representation and putative impact of a common inland invader.

Revisiting a place‐based policy: Transformations in Northeast Brazil
Abstract Despite being the second most populated region in Brazil, the Northeast has persistently accounted for a small share of national income. A well‐known attempt to develop the region was made in 1959 with the creation of SUDENE, a big push type of place‐based policy resulting in an intensification of industrial investments.

Premise Water stored in the xylem of woody plants is important for supporting the transpiration stream under prolonged drought, yet the source of stored water within the xylem during drought remains unclear. Insights into xylem water utilization during drought will uncover the adaptation strategies of the test species to stress.

The genus Daucus comprises mostly herbs (therophytes, hemicryptophytes) with few rosette treelets (chamaephytes) endemic to various Macaronesian archipelagos, suggesting their independent evolution.
