Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Effect of Incorporation of Mango Fibres on the Structural Properties of Concrete
This experimental study investigated the effect of mango fibres on the structural properties of concrete, including compressive strength, split tensile strength, flexural strength, drying shrinkage, and water absorption. Concrete mixes with varying fibre

Evaluation on mechanical properties of randomly oriented Caryota fiber reinforced polymer composites
Currently, the fibers made of synthetic materials are replaced by the natural fibers in composites, due to their environmental impact. So, this paper introduces a new natural fiber, the Caryota fiber, which is developed from the fishtail palm.

Hydrostatic pressure activates HIF‐1α via β‐catenin to promote stemness in breast cancer cells
To mimic the elevated intestinal fluid pressure in breast cancers, we loaded human breast cancer cells (MCF‐7, MDA‐MB‐453, and BT‐474) to 50 mmHg hydrostatic pressure. Hydrostatic pressure exposure upregulated HIF‐1α and induced stemness in MCF‐7 and BT‐474 cells.

Prospects of Coir Fibre as Reinforcement in Termite Mound Clay Bricks
The study is to develop an appropriate environmental friendly building material that would be sourced, obtained locally and used for construction of structures at a low cost by using termite mound soil, reinforced with 0%, 1%, 2%, 3%. and 4% coir fibres.

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Roselle Fibre Reinforced Vinyl Ester Composites
Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) bast fibre reinforced vinyl ester (VE) was prepared using a hand lay-up method and an internal mixer. The composite samples were prepared under two different parameters: with various fibre contents; and without fibre ...

KDAC6 has been associated with cell motility and actin structures, but specific domain contributions are not established. The two catalytic domains have differential effects on motility and F‐actin regulation, affecting cortical F‐actin density, motility, stress fibers, and cell spreading.
