A second near‐infrared (NIR) window microscope with circularly polarized optics noninvasively visualizes the internal state of hair and quantitatively evaluates hair damage caused by bleaching, permanent waveing, LiBr treatment, and heating. This method has high potential as a standard evaluation tool in the hair care field.

The assessment of neural tissue in the enteric nervous system by X‐ray phase‐contrast micro‐computed tomography (PC‐µCT) showed that the ratio of neural tissue volume/total tissue volume was higher in controls than in patients with enteric neuropathy (P = 0.013). The patient with the longest disease duration had the lowest ratio.

We present a multimodal anatomy of the male genitalia of the bullet ant, Paraponera clavata. Using this as a model system, we expand and refine on the 5‐category system of homology classification proposed by Meneganzin et al. (2024) and we present evidence supporting the penis‐coxopod theory of male genitalic homology in male insects. Abstract The male

BEATS: BEAmline for synchrotron X‐ray microTomography at SESAME
The recently inaugurated beamline ID10‐BEATS for hard X‐ray full‐field tomography at the SESAME synchrotron in Jordan is presented. The design, performance and scientific applications of the beamline, which was developed within the European Horizon 2020 project BEAmline for Tomography at SESAME, are illustrated. The ID10 beamline of the SESAME ...

Roentgenoscopy of laser‐induced projectile impact testing
Laser‐induced projectile impact testing (LIPIT) based on X‐ray white‐light imaging is presented. This study confirms the potential of LIPIT based on synchrotron in situ imaging, which allows the recording of the trajectories of high‐speed particles inside a material and the material's impact response in real time.Laser‐induced projectile impact testing
