Cross‐Scale Hierarchical Targeted Delivery System Based on Small‐Scale Magnetic Robots
This article reviews a cross‐scale hierarchical targeted delivery system that integrates magnetic continuum robots and magnetic microrobots. By combining rapid long‐range navigation with precise microscale targeting, the system overcomes key limitations of single‐scale approaches.

Intelligent Micro/Nanorobots for Targeted Interventional Therapy: From Bench to Clinic
Zirui Zhang et al. reviewed the application and challenges of mobile nanomachines in interventional therapy. By converting exogenous energy, including chemical, magnetic, optical, and ultrasonic sources, into mechanical forces, micro/nanorobots (MNRs) enable precise actuation at unprecedented scales. Evolving far beyond traditional drug delivery, these

3D Microfluidic Bone Tumor Microenvironment Comprised of Hydroxyapatite/Fibrin Composite
Bone is one of the most common sites of cancer metastasis, as its fertile microenvironment attracts tumor cells. The unique mechanical properties of bone extracellular matrix (ECM), mainly composed of hydroxyapatite (HA) affect a number of cellular ...

Heparin-binding domain of fibrin(ogen) binds growth factors and promotes tissue repair when incorporated within a synthetic matrix [PDF]
By binding growth factors (GFs), the ECM tightly regulates their activity. We recently reported that the heparin-binding domain II of fibronectin acts as a promiscuous high-affinity GF-binding domain. Here we hypothesized that fibrin, the provisional ECM

ABSTRACT Current clinical approaches for knee cartilage repair are often limited by hypertrophy and fibrosis in the regenerated tissues. A decellularized tissue‐engineered hyaline cartilage graft (dLhCG), composed of a type II collagen‐based extracellular matrix, has been developed to overcome this limitation.

Fibrin-rich environment drives catheter-associated UTIs by suppressing macrophage defenses
Catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs) pose severe clinical challenges, often leading to urosepsis and multidrug resistance. The wound-healing process triggered by catheter-induced bladder damage deposits fibrinogen and its polymerized ...

Enhancement of bone healing using non-glycosylated rhBMP-2 released from a fibrin matrix in dogs and cats. [PDF]
OBJECTIVES: To test a non-glycosylated recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein-2 (ngly-rhBMP-2)/fibrin composite, which has been shown experimentally to enhance healing of bone defects in rodents, in a clinical case series of dogs and cats ...

Harnessing Phase Separation for the Development of High‐Performance Hydrogels
ABSTRACT Hydrogels are indispensable for the development of next‐generation bioelectronics, soft robotics, and biomedical devices, where their mechanical properties determine performance and reliability. Among strategies to enhance hydrogel mechanics, phase separation enables controlled heterogeneity resulting in gel networks that are reinforced by ...
