Ossifying Fibroma and Chondromyxoid Fibroma of the Orbit
2021Typically arising from paranasal sinuses (maxillary > ethmoid > sphenoid > frontal). Rarely primarily orbital. Three district subtypes: cemento-ossifying fibromas, juvenile psammomatoid ossifying fibroma, and juvenile trabecular ossifying fibroma. Slow growing mass developing within the affected bone, ground glass, or granular opacities with or without

Chondromyxoid fibroma is a rare benign tumor derived from cartilage. The classic site of involvement is usually the metaphyseal ends of the long tubular bones, such as the tibia. The majority of these tumors are seen in the lower extremities during the second and third decades of life.

FIBROMA of the trachea is of great rarity. Stangely enough, however, the first tracheal tumor of any type to be recorded was a fibroma and was observed as an incidental finding at an autopsy by Lieutad 1 in 1767. Since that time only 35 additional tumors of this type have been reported.

AbstractPerifollicular fibroma(PFF) is a rare cutaneous hamartoma that shows differentiation in the connective tissue sheath of the hair follicle. It may be single (congenital or acquired) or multiple (late onset). We report a 14‐year‐old Korean boy with a congenital solitary PFF on the face, which supports the ne void concept of origin rather than a ...

Odontogenic fibroma is a very rare lesion. Although it is considered to be of odontogenic origin, the exact mechanism of its histogenesis is not clear. A case of this rare neoplasm is presented.

Approximately 2% of chondromyxoid fibromas of bone present in the jaws, preponderantly in the mandible, where they must be distinguished from low-grade chondrosarcomas. A recurrence rate of 25% dictates careful complete removal of this histologically benign lesion.

Cardiac fibroma is a rare benign nonencapsulated neoplasm of the heart. It occurs mainly in infants and children. It may grow to a large size, which results in a variety of clinical cardiac presentations, including sudden death. Surgical excision prevents recurrence.

Tenosynovial fibroma or angiofibroma of tendon sheath is a distinctive clinicopathological entity occurring mainly in young and middle-aged men and affecting dominantly the distal extremities. Fingers, hands and wrists are the site of 80 per cent of cases. Palmar aspects of hands and plantar aspects of foot are preferentially involved.
